Feature & Follow #10

It's our favorite day of the week, which means...it's Follow Friday which is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read
The question of the week is:

Q: Have you ever bought a book because of a bad review?

Anna:

I actually read Twilight because of the bad things people were saying about it. I started it knowing I would hate it and finished it wondering what is wrong with people. LOL I can't say it's one of my favorites anymore but it is a great book. I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to read it. :)

FranJessca
I have plenty of times.  Just recently, I read "Bloodrose" by Andrea Cremer, which was getting bad reviews because of a certain thing the Author did that people were pissed off about...but for me...I loved the fact she had guts to do it.  I ended up enjoying the book and I plan on reading the whole series again whenever I can.

Hello!

Hopping thru and found your link. New Follwer

I'm one of those that FranJessca is referring to who didn't care for Bloodrose. Yet, thankfully I borrowed it from the library and didn't purchase it.

I've heard a lot of conflicting things about Bloodrose, but I think I'm going to try it anyway. I appreciate it when authors have the guts to do something unexpected with their characters.

Old follower.

I admit, the first thing I did was go to Goodreads to look at the reviews for Bloodrose (and I'll probably end up buying it lol)

I tend to buy books my friends HATE just to see if they're really THAT bad :P

Thanks for stopping by! Following back :)

One day I think I'm going to pick up Twilight for exactly that reason!

Following from FF - sorry it's taken me a while to get round to you! It's my first week joining in, I hope you might have time to visit my FF post.
