Review - "Once and Again" by Lauren Dane
(Petal, Georgia #1)
Author: Lauren Dane
Publisher: Samhain
Publishing, Ltd.
Release Date: 8/30/2011
Genre: Erotic Romance
Source: Amazon (Bought)
Buy: Amazon and Barnes & Noble
After her parents split up Lily Travis comes home to take
care of her troubled younger brother because her mom has given up and is giving
in to her addiction. So Lily works on fixing what her brother screwed up with
school while she's also trying to help her mother get better. Nathan Murphy is
her brother's teacher and also her ex-boyfriend. After screwing up 6 years ago
and ruining his relationship with Lily, Nathan has had an endless stream of
women but none of them could live up to Lily. So now that she's back, he's set
his sights on her and he's not giving up this time. He's playing for keeps!
My thoughts
It's definitely a classic Lauren Dane book,
you can tell that from the 12 page (slightly exagerated) conversations and the
'problems' that need to be resolved (if you have read other LD books you know
what I mean). But all in all is was a good story. I love how her characters are
always believable even if they do talk too much and she always has a real issue
her characters have to deal with. It was nice to get updates on the Chase
family too, they all seem to be doing great! Even with my complaints on too
much dialogue, I'm still looking forward to the next book in this series and in
her others as well!
