Description:
Held in captivity, Nathan Kelly has reached his lowest point. He can't hold on much longer, the torture and hunger that is eating away at him is becoming worse as more time goes by. He has no idea how long he's been held, but it feels like forever. On his darkest day, in his pitch black cell an angel visits him. She takes his pain away, she holds him, she gives him comforting words but he's sure she's just a figment of his imagination, a way for his mind to cope with his extreme circumstances. But she convinces him to hold on, to gather his strength so he can escape and when he finally manages to get away, along with his friend Swanny, and runs into the helping hands of his brothers and their special ops team, she leaves him. Now home and healing Nathan feels empty, like a part of his soul is missing. He can't decide if his angel was real or made up in his mind and until he finds out, he won't be able to move on.
Shea has been running from a group of really bad, really scary people, who want to use her and her sister for their special powers. She's managed to stay one step ahead of them for a year now but when they finally catch up to her she has only one choice. Return to Nathan and risk everything by asking him for help because she can't go it alone anymore. Together Nathan and Shea, and with the help of the other KGI teams, work to find out who is after her and why. Now that they're finally together, they'll do anything to stay together.
Review:
I'll start by saying this is the BEST KGI book yet! Maya has outdone herself with this one. The paranormal twist in this book makes it all the more interesting. At the end of Hidden Away I was really disappointed that we didn't know what had happened to Nathan but now after reading this book, I'm so glad she didn't give us much. Nathan endured so much but he was strong enough to take it and still survive and Shea, sweet sweet Shea, she went through her own amount of terrible circumstances, yet she held strong and came out better in the end. The suspense was a killer but worth it and the romance was so incredible that I had to read some scenes 2 or 3 times just to absorb it all. Nathan and Shea together were hot and sweet and everything in between and I am seriously dying to read the next book that features Rio and Shea's sister Grace. It's sure to be as hot or hopefully even hotter. Come on July! I give this book 5 stars and I will be waiting on the edge of my seat until the next book releases!
Happy Reading
