Review - "A Perfect Storm" by Lori Foster

A Perfect Storm

(Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor #4)
Author:  Lori Foster
Publisher:  HQN
Release Date: 3/27/12
Genre:  Romantic Suspense
Source:  NetGalley

Arizona Storm is no ordinary woman! She’s brave and extremely outgoing but she’s also damaged. Having been rescued from a human trafficking ring she has a personal stake in taking any and all human traffickers out there and she has made it her personal mission to do so. While on a personal op she runs into Spencer, a devastatingly handsome bounty hunter who she has an overwhelming attraction to, but being damaged and inexperienced that way she has no idea where to go with it.
Spencer knows the minute he meets Arizona that she’s trouble but he can’t seem to stay away. Having his own personal experiences with human trafficking he understands why she does what she does, but that doesn’t mean he has to like it. He now makes it his own mission to make sure Arizona stays safe so he makes sure he goes along for her private little ops and in doing so he gets pulled right into an ongoing investigation and somehow maybe they’ll make it into each others arms.

My Review
This whole series has been fantastic. I SO love Lori Foster and the stories she writes but she has outdone herself with this entire series. In this last book of the series, A Perfect Storm, we finally get to know Arizona. If you haven’t read the previous three books, you must go back and do so because without them this book isn’t nearly as good as it should be. Arizona is one incredibly strong woman, no matter her age. With all she went through it’s no wonder she is the way she is. And Spencer, whew, what a sexy man. He makes sure Arizona is comfortable with everything and acts as her buffer when that past comes back to haunt her. It’s so sweet how he treats her, how he cherishes her, especially with what he himself has been through in his life and all he has lost.

I am so sad that this series is ending but oh so excited to hear that there is another series in the works, the first book due out at the end of this year. I will be impatiently waiting for that one and I might just go back and re-read this series….yes it was that good!

I also have a need to comment on the cover. I LOVE this cover, the man on the cover is the perfect example of how I pictured Spencer. It really is a beautiful cover and thanks to Lori I now have a Spencer t-shirt. ;)
