Author:  CJ Ellisson
Publisher: Red Hot Publishing
Release Date: 10/10/2010
Genre: Erotica

Author’s Website: www.cjellisson.com

Description
Meet Vivian. She's a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true.

Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals. Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests.

Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn't easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets Vivian would kill to protect?

Review
I really enjoyed this book. CJ's style of writing really pulls you into the story. I was hooked from page one and couldn't seem to put it down until I finished. This was kind of a murder mystery/vampire romance. Kind of made me think of Charlaine Harris's style of writing, a little. Maybe a Sookie Stackhouse meets Haprer Connelly, with a whole lot more sex kind of story. I found it very entertaining.

I had a little trouble keeping up with who is who, it got a little confusing there in the beginning but her characters were funny and original so I caught on real quick. I found her take on vampires to be very interesting. The whole projecting thing was fun and Dria aka Vivian was very good at doing it for her quests. I really enjoyed the dynamics between Dria and her mate Rafe. And it was nice to see her stick to her commitment to him when she was being tempted to do otherwise. I didn't much care for Jon, he kind of got on my nerves a little but he was a important character, as well as the other were wolves so I got over it. And there was a bit too much sex, it was almost as if she used it sometimes as a filler to add more to the book, but overall it was still a good story.

I can't wait to see where the author takes this series, i'm already looking forward to starting the second book, very very soon. I highly recommend this book and if what I'm hearing about the other two books in the series is true then you're in for a treat with this whole series.

I give this book 4 Moons and recommend it to all vampire erotica lovers out there. You won't regret it, it really is a fantastic read!

I gotta add something about the cover. I love this cover! It's sexy, yet still cute! Really eye catching!!! Love it!
