Blog Tour: "Dangerous Love" by Lilou Dupont (Guest Post/Giveaway)

Welcome to our Blog Tour stop with Lilou DuPont and her book "Dangerous Love" brought to you by LIT Connect Events.  We let Lilou DuPont take over our blog today on Book Lovin' Mamas. =)

Thank you for inviting me to be a guest blogger on Book Lovin' Mamas! Dangerous Love, my debut novel, was released on 8.6.12 by Crimson Romance, a division of F+W Media.  It is available on  Amazon.
My idea was to set a novel in Prague. When I began writing, I found my characters – the lovers, Laura and Byron – meeting in Prague, but taking off for Bratislava, Slovakia. En route, they are arrested for “lewd conduct in a public place” and thrown off the train (and into jail, briefly) in Vienna. From Bratislava, they fly to Berlin, where a woman from Byron's past – the darkly exotic Zsa Zsa – comes between them.
Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Berlin... We are only halfway through the narrative! (Whose wanderlust was this? Theirs or mine?) Did I mention a kidnapping in Ljubljana, Slovenia or bicycling through Budapest?
Yes. That is a lot of settings and I visited them all, for research and fun.
All of these cities are sexy, yet in different ways.
Prague – The Charles Bridge, illuminated at night and reflected on the shimmering Vltava River, is an iconic image of Prague. Laura and Byron find a secluded grassy patch beneath the bridge and stay there until the sun comes up the following day.
Vienna – I took photos of blonde strait waifs. They reminded me of younger, less fortunate versions of myself. One is a wide-eyed girl, sitting cross-legged at the feet of street musicians. Another girl seemingly sleepwalks aside an oncoming red tram. A composite blonde street waif made it into my book.
Bratislava – City under Construction. Or is it destruction? I came upon a building punctured with bullet holes. Plastic sheets that rippled in the breeze stood in for glass window panes. A passerby told me that the location was being used for a movie about the end of the world. Very inspiring! This is where Laura and Byron verge on a threesome and declare their love.
Berlin – A seductive, edgy place. One with a history, not unlike Zsa Zsa, the Romanian-American tigress, who is also Byron's ex. Laura and Byron run into her in a Berlin art gallery, with devastating consequences.
Ljubjlana – Pronounced Loo-blee-anya. It means “love” in Slovene. Need I say more?
Budapest – In Budapest, I had a romantic encounter with an English-speaking man. I rode on the back of his bicycle – my arms wrapped around his waist – as he gave me a tour of the flat, Pest side of they city. When I told him that I wanted a salad for lunch, he took me to the underground restaurant, Marquis de Salade. It even had a dungeon. We were the only ones there.

In Prague, Laura feels that she has met her soulmate. Yet how can her soul merge with the son of a Nazi?
After being passed over for a promotion at a Chicago advertising agency, Laura cashes in her stock options, quits her job, and moves to Prague. There, she begins an erotic romance with Byron, only to discover that he is German and his father was in the Hitler Youth. As an observant Jew, Laura has deep misgivings about becoming involved with the son of a Nazi, but the attraction between them is so strong that she cannot resist.
When a woman from Byron’s past – the darkly exotic Zsa Zsa – comes between them, can the true love of Laura and Byron survive
Early Review Testimonials:

"Have you read Fifty Shades of Grey? Looking for more well written erotic romance novels? Well look no further! Lilou DuPont’s new book, Dangerous Love, is just that! It is the story of two unlikely lovers, a Jewish woman and the son of a Nazi. DuPont’s adept description of the characters, the setting, and the erotic sex scenes will make this a book you won’t want to put down. This reader actually liked it better than Fifty Shades! The sex scenes were more varied, the story line more developed, and it included some mystery, a kidnapping, and, most especially, a happy ending. I assure you, it will not disappoint!" - Pamela Smart

"A real page turner! Take this book with you to your favorite café and drink some steamy latte. Who knows where it may take you!" - Rachel B.

"Enticing, exciting writing at its best! Dangerous Love is not to be missed!" - Tsaurah Litzky, author of The Motion of the Ocean

Lilou DuPont graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Philosophy and studied Erotic Writing at The New School in New York City. She lives in Washington, DC where she enjoys a successful advertising career and a large circle of friends. Dangerous Love is her first novel. She is at work on her second book, a spy romance set in Bucharest, Romania. Vampires? No. Gypsies? Yes.
