We'd like to Welcome Gabrielle Bisset to Book Lovin' Mamas today! We're very excited to have her here. We'll be showing of her new release Blood Spirit, the 3rd book in the Sons of Navarus series.

 Blood Spirit
(Sons of Navarus #3)

I am everything you seek. I am vampire.

Blessed with the gift of telepathy, Terek always knows what a woman wants. His gift has afforded him nightly sensual pleasures and exotic treats for centuries, but beneath the surface he yearns for much more.

Ilona can give him what his soul craves, but only if he trusts his heart. One fateful choice made out of desire puts all he cares for in danger. With a civil war and the threat of Archon hunters at every turn, this Son may lose everything if he can't find the balance between heart and mind.

Blood Avenged
(Sons of Navarus #1)

I am everything you desire. I am vampire.

When one of his own is staked, Vasilije must travel to New Orleans to exact his revenge. There he meets Sasa, a beautiful woman who arouses him like no other has for centuries. Vasilije's need for vengeance is equaled only by his passion for her, but what he finds in his revenge is just the beginning..

 Blood Betrayed
(Sons of Navarus #2)

I am everything forbidden. I am vampire.

Haunted by betrayal, Saint hides in the human world, giving his heart to no one and finding the only solace from his past in the arms of human women. Now as the Archons begin their takeover of the vampire world, this Son of Navarus has been marked for death.

Summoned to defeat the Archons by the world that shunned him, Saint must face his past and Solenne, the woman he loved and lost a century ago, for only in accepting her will his body and soul finally find salvation.

Vampire Dreams Revamped
(Sons of Navarus #0.5)

Expanded from the original, Vampire Dreams Revamped is bigger, longer, and hotter. Revisit the world of Brandon, Arden, and Vasilije and meet new characters too!

A vampire for hundreds of years, Brandon Ridley is surrounded by others of his kind who enjoy their world to the fullest. Orgies, debauchery, and sensual delights leave him empty, though. What he wants is that one woman who will share his life.

Homeless and without any family, Arden Stephens must live on the streets of mid 19th century London, never a safe place for a young woman. One night, as she is running for her life from an attacker, she is rescued by Brandon and offered a place in his home as his maid. Brandon is enchanted by Arden from the moment they meet and yearns to make her one of his kind.

Nightly, he visits her in her sleep, preparing her for the night he will finally make her his own. For Arden, the wanton dreams she has about her handsome employer seduce her and each day when she wakes up, she finds herself more drawn to him. But love and desire aren't enough for Brandon to sire her. He must first obtain the approval of his own sire, an ancient vampire named Vasilije who has thwarted his chance for happiness before.

But if Brandon can convince him, he may finally find the love he's been without for centuries.

Welcome Gabrielle, to Book Lovin' Mamas! We're so excited to have you here today!

1. Can you tell us something interesting about yourself that we can’t learn on the internet (can be anything)?
I can't tell you how long I had to think about this. All the interesting stuff I should keep quiet about, and that left me with little to mention. :)  I'm someone who loves to laugh, though. I'm usually laughing or giggling about something, despite the fact that most people think I'm very serious.

2. What or who inspired you to become a writer?
I've been writing since I was a child, but it was really in undergraduate school as an English major that I became inspired to write. All those stories and books we studied made me want to tell my own stories, but I had to wait a few years until after grad school, marriage, having children, and finding a teaching job before I was really ready.

3. What does a typical writing day look like for you?
I home school my son in the mornings and teach my classes in the afternoon, so writing doesn't happen for me until after dinner. I usually write until I can't keep my eyes open anymore. :)

4. Do you have any traditions when you start or finish a book?
I hand write every book, so each beginning starts with a fresh notebook, my writing the ISBN numbers for the ebook and print book on the inside cover, and then writing notes before I begin. Finishing the writing is a great feeling, but since I then have to type the entire book, it's not really finishing. When I finish typing, however, there's a great big yelp of joy (I hate typing!).  Then I usually go out for a great meal with my friends and family. Anything to celebrate, right?

5. Could you tell us a bit about The Sons of Navarus series and the new book Blood Spirit?
The Sons of Navarus is a series about a group of eight vampires chosen to defend the vampire world from takeover by the Archons, the law and order vampires. Foretold millenia ago in the Prophecy of Idolas, the time has come that the Archons have begun to make their move. But it's erotic paranormal romance, so you know there is some hotness too. The series is written as following one book after another, so to understand what's going on, readers need to read it from the beginning. The first book, Blood Avenged, introduces readers to one of the Sons, a vampire named Vasilije, and lets the reader slowly find out about the vampire world. The second book, Blood Betrayed, is Saint's story and readers learn much more about the Archons and the civil war that's beginning in the vampire world. And now the third book is out, Blood Spirit, which is Terek's story.  Terek is a much older vampire than Vasilije and Saint. Turned in the mid-1300s when he was a monk, he's been blessed with the ability to read minds since just before becoming vampire, but he's found one person whose thoughts he can't hear—a female named Ilona. He saves her one night and makes her his vampire, but she doesn't want to be one of his many vampires. As he begins to fall for her, he has to learn to trust his heart, which he hasn't done since he was a human. Meanwhile, he has to help the other Sons figure out the prophecy to stop the Archons from taking over.

6. Where did the idea for The Sons of Navarus come from?
The response to Vasilije when he was first introduced in a novella I wrote last year entitled Vampire Dreams was incredible, so I decided I wanted to write a series that included him and other sexy vampire males.  I'm a history prof, so it was natural that I'd look back in history to one of my favorite times—ancient history—and mine that area for ideas. I also loved the idea of a vampire story that wasn't the usual vampires vs humans and instead vampires vs vampires. It's a great power struggle and a lot of fun to write! Finally, I knew I wanted to base it in Greek mythology, but I didn't want the story to be all about myths, so I took some from those great Greek myths, some from ancient history, and made up the rest and the Sons of Navarus came to be.

Now a few fun questions...

7. If you could be any one of your characters, which one would you be and why?
If I could be one of my characters,  it would be Vasilije. There's something about his unrepentant hedonism that I love. I swear the man has no conscience sometimes. It seems so freeing to be like that.

8. Who are some of your favorite authors? Favorite books?
I'm a huge fan of Marie Treanor, Gena Showalter, and JR Ward. Treanor's Blood On Silk is such a smartly written vampire story. I love it! And Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series is great too.  And what vampire romance author doesn't know Ward's BDB books. Love that Vishous!

9. If you could go anywhere, past, present, future, real or fictional, where would you go and why?
I would go to ancient Rome. I love that time period and the incredible achievements the Romans had. Let's hope I'm the upper class in this trip back or I may not love it so much after.

10. What is your all time favorite movie?
My all-time favorite movie would have to be Back To The Future. What a great way to spend two hours!

11. What is your all time favorite song?
I love so many that it's hard to pick just one. But if you're shining the bright light of interrogation on me and forcing me to choose one, I'll say Kashmir by Led Zeppelin.

Thanks again Gabrielle! It was great to have to here to answer a few questions for us! I hope we can have you back in the future!!!
