gallops north towards freedom, running from the man who falsely accused her
mother of witchcraft. Cursed with magical healing abilities, Meg knows that if
she’s captured, she will die like her mother—atop a blazing witch’s pyre.
Winter winds rip across the Highlands, pressing Chief Caden

innocent woman to bargain for peace if it keeps his clan from starving. But Meg
isn’t who Caden thinks she is, and when she kills a man to save the clan, he
must choose between duty and her life. For although he captured her to force a
peace, Meg's strength and courage have captured Caden's heart.
Review
Captured Heart is a heartfelt love story about a woman who is running for her life and a warrior laird doing everything he possibly can to save his clan., being pulled together to finally bring peace to the two enemy clans. This story has everything you want in a Highlander Romance. The big handsome highlander who loved his woman fiercely, the beautiful woman who seems to be helpless and vulnerable yet she's really a feisty little warrior in her own right and the enemy or in this books case the enemies that cause lots of unwanted problems and stop at nothing to get to their goal. While this isn't one of my favorite Highlander books, it's definitely on the keeper list.
The character in this book were lots of fun. I love highlanders and the whole history that comes with their stories and this one was no different. Caden and Meg were really wonderful leading characters. From the very beginning I was rooting for them because they really were a perfect match. I got a little frustrated that Caden let the lie go on as long as he did. I mean just tell her, get it over with. And Meg should have made him pay for it a bit longer than she did. The whole paranormal aspect with Megs powers added that little extra to make the story great.
The other characters were great too. The author seems to be setting this up as a series so I hope we get to see some of the characters again in future books. Like say...Ewan? ;) He was definitely a fun character.

OverallI would recommend this book to anyone who loves historical romance and highlanders specifically. It was well written and there never seemed to be a dull moment. Oh and Heather's highlander's are definitely dreamy! :) You ladies who love highlanders will love Caden and Ewan! I very much enjoyed reading this book and I really hope there will be more of them in the future!
