Review

I always love what Mari Carr writes but she has really out done herself this time! This heartrendingly beautiful story grabbed a hold of my heart strings and kept me an emotional wreck from beginning to end. I loved everything about it, from the quirky women, who I hope will be leading ladies for future books in the series, to Rob and the steamy sex that came with him, to the terrifying facts of living with and beating something as scary as cancer. This story not only gives you something sexy to read but it also opens your eyes to the realities of life and shows you that life can be short, so don’t take it for granted.

Rob is quite possibly the sweetest, most caring man I have ever had the pleasure to read about and Zoey is most definitely the strongest woman I have read about. They were such a beautiful couple and it really sucked that they finally got together in such a sad way. I mean, they were best friends for over 20 years but still, that’s a heck of a way to start a relationship. But then they fought through it and came out happier and stronger than ever so it all worked out. :)

This is more than a sexy love story, it’s a heartbreaking but inspirational journey showing all women that it’s possible to overcome something as scary as the big bad Cancer. And it hits close to home for me because my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer last June. I really love that Mari wrote this book, it gives me a bit of hope and I’m sure it will give other women out there that same hope. So thank you Mari! I really can’t wait for the next in the series to come out. I’m very curious as to who it will be about. I know who I hope but we will see… But until then, check this book out and make sure you have plenty of tissues handy because it’s a tear jerker!
