Mara Caldwell is a woman with a dark past. She made a clean break from her old life, never imagining her secrets could come back to haunt her. When an old enemy surfaces and threatens the world she’s created for herself Mara is prepared to give up everything, including the husband she loves if it will keep him safe.

Harrison knew his wife had secrets when he married her, but when he discovers the truth, it’s far worse than he imagined. He's determined to protect her from a deadly enemy who wants to destroy her, but her lack of faith in him infuriates and wounds him. They must work together to keep her safe, but the man they're up against seeks to destroy everything they've built together. Including their lives.

Warnings: This book contains light bondage, hot sex, graphic language and a villain hell bent on revenge.

This is the third book in Katie Reus’s Red Stone Security series and so far my favorite! I really love these books! Seriously, I have become addicted to these guys! They’re all completely different than each other and they have fantastic taste in women. Mara and Harrison though, well let’s just say Harrison’s tastes run a little darker than the guys in the previous books and I gotta tell ya, it’s hot!

This book starts not long after the second book and we finally find out what the tension between Harrison and Mara is all about. Finding out sweet Mara had a past was pretty surprising. I did not see that coming in the previous books but it's a good thing because she's pretty awesome. I can't say more or it will give it away but she's my favorite heroine of the series so far. She's definitely a great match for Harrison! And Harrison, whew, the guy is intense! He's my favorite of the Caldwell brothers.

The writing is amazing as usual and the story really grabs you and sucks you into it. I had every intention of waiting to read this book but I read the first page and that led to the first chapter and then the second and so on until I looked up and it was 3 in the morning and I was done with the book. And I've already said it but I have to say it again, I love these characters! Not just the brothers and the women but the guys who work for Red Stone Security are pretty nice too. My favorite being Travis, who I know is in the next book I believe, so I can't wait for that. I have a thing for the Mohawk. :)

Overall, this is a really good read! It's packed full of action and suspense and some really sexy love scenes. Okay, a lot of them! ;) It's not unnecessary to read the first two books to enjoy this one but I recommend that you do, because they're really good too, but you wouldn't lose any enjoyment over it. If you enjoy a good romantic suspense, this book and series is definitely for you!!! Now on to the next book....
