"Claim Me" by J. Kenner Blog Tour + Giveaway

Welcome to our stop on the Virtual Blog Tour of "Claim Me" by J. Kenner brought to you by Random House Publishing

Confessions of a Re-reader

I admit it. One of the reasons my TBR pile is so freaking high (or, since it’s mostly digital, takes up so many bytes) is my own fault.

Yes, it’s true. I’m a re-reader.

I can’t help it. Once I fall in love with characters, I want to visit them again and again. That’s one of the reasons I love series so much. And one of the reasons I’m addicted to J.D. Robb’s In Death series. With 8 bazillion books in that series, I get to revisit my favorite characters without re-reading. Though, of course, that often doesn’t stop me. Yes, I’ve read the entire series (well, through about book 20) at least twice. You can imagine the time commitment. And, alas, there are only so many hours in the day!
But sometimes I just can’t help myself. Yes, I may have a new book calling to me, but sometimes you (meaning me) just want a comfort read. So I turn to Eve and Roarke (In Death series), or Jamie and Claire (Outlander), or Harry and Ron and Hermione (I’ll just assume you know that one), or Charlotte and Thomas (the Inspector Pitt mysteries) or any number of books that I’ve read and loved (there are more...lots more...).

As a writer, my “re-reading” love is reflected in the fact that I have always leaned toward writing books in series. And also as a writer, I’m incredibly flattered when I hear from readers that they read and re-read one of my books because they love the characters so much, like Kate from my Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series that began with Carpe Demon. And especially Nikki and Damien from the Stark Trilogy – which continues on Tuesday with the release of Claim Me!
It is such fun to get messages from folks through my website or Facebook page telling me that they read Release Me a number of times and are re-reading it again in anticipation of Claim Me. It’s such a wonderful compliment! (Especially since I know from experience how much a re-read wreaks havoc on the TBR pile!)

Read on!
How about you? Do you re-read? Or is reading time to precious and you have to move forward, not back? If you’re a re-reader, what’s your go-to book or series?

One lucky commenter will win a copy of Claim Me! (print for US winners, digital for international winners!)  -Make sure to put your broken email addy in your comment so we can contact you if you win.
Winner will be announced on 4/28/13
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author J. Kenner has written over 40 books under multiple names including Julie Kenner and J.K. Beck. Her newest release, CLAIM ME (April 23, 2013), is the second book in the bestselling Stark Trilogy, which began with RELEASE ME, continues with CLAIM ME, and which will conclude in July with COMPLETE ME. You can learn more about her at her website (http://www.juliekenner.com) or connect with her on Twitter (@juliekenner) or on Facebook (http://juliekenner.com/facebook/)

There's several books/series I have on my "TBR-Again" list :) I have so many on my TBR list, though, that I haven't reread them yet. I have reread some books in a series because of the length of time between books. I keep telling myself I have to stop reading reviews so I stop adding to my list. Of course, I'm now adding Claim Me to my list. Thamk you for a chance to win a copy!

I wish I had time to re-read. I do like series so I can see my favorite character again. I have started listening to audio books at work. And so it doesn't break my concentration too much I have been listening to books I've already read.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Funny! I re-read Release Me over the weekend to prep for Claim Me's release this week. I also re-read 50 Shades because I missed Christian. I thought it was better the 2nd time because I wasn't shocked the whole time. :-)

I am a re-reader. I love reading new books but sometimes I just want a comfort read, something I know I will enjoy and that will satisfy me. Some of the books I re-read are Bet Me and Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie, the Long, Tall Texans series and The Wedding in White by Diana Palmer, Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard, How to Flirt With a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper, Lord of the Air by Carol Gregor, The Westmoreland series by Brenda Jackson, and the Windham series by Grace Burrowes. Wow, I guess I re-read alot.

Thanks so much for hosting me! And thanks everyone for dropping by!

I do sometimes reread books, especially if I can't find a book that holds my interest. There is no particular book that I reread.

There are a few books/series I will reread every few years but generally my reading time is precious so I read new books in a series or new authors.

I do re-read sometimes, but my biggest problem is that I have a HUGE TBR list and I spend a lot of time reading reviews about the "latest" release of a new book in my favorite series. Or, a new release from my favorite author. Once you love a book, you want to read EVERYTHING that author writes from then until forever, right?

I do like to re-read sometimes if I loved the book, but there are so many new books I want to read that usually I don't re-read too much anymore.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I haven't had a chance to re-read anything lately because my TBR shelf/list is soooo long and backed up, but I will definitely go back and re-read Karen Marie Moning's Fever series someday. In the past, my top re-read book was The Great Gatsby.

In the past my top re-read book was The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald; it's a classic and it's probably about time for another go at it too :)

I love to reread books. When I've reread some books I've found things in them that I missed the first time I read it. Lots of time when I want to read a book but can't find a new one that interest me I will grab one that I've read and loved to reread.
