To ALL our followers....It is time for Book Lovin' Mamas to make the switch from Blogger to Wordpress.
We do not want to wake up one day and notice that we cannot logon to our blog due to Blogger changing its policies.
We have worked too hard to have that happen...so it is long overdue, we have moved over to our domain.
It will make it easier for YA'LL to find us.
We have already started to post over at the new site...and August 1st will be official day we say GOODBYE to this site for good.

I needed to get away from the vampires and werewolves for awhile and dive into Melissa Marr's world of Fairies. I was entranced from the very beginning. I fell in love with the characters, even the fairies which happened to be betrayed as awful in the beginning of the book, but ended up grabbing my attention and I felt sorry for them. Aislinn definitely had me feeling sorry for her. Here it was the poor girl could see these fairies and what they were doing to the mortals, but she couldn't do anything about it. She had to keep her sight of the fairies a secret, until two of the fairies were drawn to her, one being the Summer King himself, Keenan. She didn't understand why they were following her around and why Keenan even risked putting on a glamour so he can get to know her better. She just wanted to understand why they were following her now and not earlier. She found comfort in her friend, Seth who she felt more, but didn't want to ruin their friendship. Aislinn even kept asking Grams about the fairies, but all Grams wanted to do was keep her from them. What Aislinn doesn't realize is that she is Keenan's future Summer Queen and she has to save the Summer Kingdom from Keenan's nemisis, the Winter Queen. Once Keenan and Aislinn are officially together, they can rule together and bring order back to the Summer.
Aislinn doesn't want that at all. She just wants to continue her life as a mortal with Seth, who ends up in the book showing his true feelings to her.
From the beginning to the end of the book I was on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out what was going to happen next, that is one reason why I had a hard time putting down the book while reading it. I had to finish it. I fell in love with Keenan's character more at the end after I realized what he was being put through. The poor Summer King had been looking for his Summer Queen for 9 centuries now. He wasn't used to being tested.
I'm glad I picked up this book at the Library when I did and I'm glad also I put the next book on hold. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Melissa Marr has my attention for the fairy world she has created. I look forward to more books written by her.

Why am I disappointed, you may ask? Well..for several reason.
1. I found out this may be the last book in the series since the contract which means no more stories unless Jenna Black publishers say otherwise. Ugh!
2. I hated how the book ended. There is scenes left that can be played out and finish.
3. I'm definitely upset what happened between the Seelie Queen, the Erkling and Dana. I was hoping the Erkling would pursue Dana more. Maybe I was hoping for the Bad boy to get the girl once in awhile. I do love Ethan in the story, but I was hoping for more action in this story. Just not Dana whining and complaining about everything and lying to her friends and family.
I was expecting more from this book, but ended up just getting minor storyline that wasn't very surprising. I predicted their was another thing hidden in the story that everyone will find out later. Dana wasn't alone, basically.
I was looking forward to reading more about the Erkling...not him giving up so easily.
Well...it looks like I will never find out now. =(
On to another series I guess that may catch my attention more.
I have to say this though..."Shadowspell" will forever be my favorite book out of the series and I can't condone Jenna Black for that book. That book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I wish Sirensong would've been more like that.

This book is the first book in the series Faeriewalker. If you haven't
read this book, you need to, you'll learn why the author named the
series "Faeriewalker".
I wasn't really fond of it at first, until Dana, the
main character started getting into some crazy situations. I fell in
love with her character. She is a VERY determined girl. She'll do at
anything to make her life easier, somehow, someway. She wants to be a
kid, but she's been forced to be an adult for awhile now with her Mom
and she wanted to change that and find her Father. I'm also in love
with the character Ethan. He's absolutely the perfect person for Dana
and so is Ethan's little sister, Kimber who is obviously not everyone's
favorite since their Father favors Ethan over her, which is sad. What I
loved most about this book was how it reached the ending and what Dana
accomplished with her Mom and now Dad, who she never knew. I'm looking
forward to the next book and what the author will put Dana through next.
This book is definitely something different
from what I'm used to reading, and I glad I went through Amazon's recommendations to find it.
