Another beautiful cover for Maya Banks Historicals!!! I absolutely LOVE this series and I adore the covers! They are by far Maya's best books covers in my opinion and the stories and darn near her best stories! I can not wait for this book to release so I can finally read about one of the Armstrong's FINALLY!!! :)

Oh boy...this cover is friggin' AWESOME!! I came across it on Alison Kent's website and fell in love with it. This cover wins over my heart not only because of the cover model's abs and low riding jeans....but that gun got my attention as well. I have the first book to the series and have been meaning to read it for awhile now...and now I must catch up in time before "Unforgettable" releases.
This has to be my FAVE cover of the series so far. *sigh*

1. Can you
tell us one interesting or random thing about yourself that we can't find on
the internet?
I melt down VERY easily. I don’t handle stress very well, especially when I’m traveling and out of my comfort zone. My husband laughs at me because my brain cells completely short circuit when I’m in a stressful situation. All common sense flees and I end up a complete blithering idiot!
2. What is
your favorite type of character to write? Least favorite?
I love really alpha, super protective heroes that while they may have a hard outer shell, the inside is a heart of gold and a huge soft spot for the heroine. And I love tortured heroines. I love to write heroines who have to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds and grow stronger because of it. I don’t have a least favorite because if I don’t love a characters, I just won’t write it.
3. When you
are deep into writing what is your biggest pet peeve?
Being interrupted!
4. Which
character from the series was your favorite to write and why?
That’s hard because I adored Eveline and Graeme. Graeme was the perfect combination of an alpha warrior and a tender, understanding lover. And Eveline is a heroine who has had to overcome a lot and becomes stronger for it. But I also really really love Bowen and Genevieve. Again, Genevieve has endured a lot of hardship and yet she remains strong and undefeated. And Bowen is the perfect hero for her. Kind, gentle and understanding and very cherishing and protective of her while still remaining that warrior alpha male.
5. What can
we expect for the future of the Montgomerys and Armstrongs?
Coming in September is Highland Ever After which features Brodie Armstrong and Taliesan McHugh, who you first meet in Highlander Most Wanted. After their story, I plan to do stories for Teague Montgomery, Aiden Armstrong and finally Rorie Montgomery. I’m just not sure of the order yet :)

Review
As always, this was another great book from Maya! I am completely enchanted with these men, both Montgomery's and Armstrong's! I loved this one even more than Eveline and Graeme's story.
This story starts up shortly after the ending of the previous book, Never Seduce a Scot. Bowen moved in to seek revenge for what was done to his brother, Graeme's wife Eveline by Ian McHugh. What he finds when he arrives back at the McHugh keep is a clan who has been abandoned and have no real way to survive on their own. Bowen being as good a man as his brother Graeme, he steps up and takes over until his brother decided what is to be done with the McHugh clan.
Genevieve was a prisoner to the nasty Ian McHugh and she's physically and mentally scarred by the abuse done to her by Ian and his men but once he died she became free again. She longs for peace and solitude away from the clan that ruined her life but meeting Bowen she finds that she might still have some fight left in her.
Genevieve's story is so heartbreaking! I won't give details because that would ruin it but what has been done to her is unspeakable! It was a great thing to see her open herself up to Bowen and OMG that man is SUCH a sweetie! I about melted a few different times. Seriously, he had me swooning! Maya KNOWS how to write a man!
It was nice to get to see more of the Armstrong's in this book. I'm so hoping for one of Eveline's brothers to get their own book soon! :)
Overall this was a great read! As expected Maya's writing is fantastic, the characters were enjoyable and well written and I've said this before but I'm saying it again, these men are HOT! LOVE me some highlanders! ;) You don't have to read Never Seduce a Scot first but seriously ladies, you don't wanna miss Graeme! Bowen is just as good but they are totally different too. So I recommend this whole series to all romance lovers because you absolutely have to experience The Montgomery's and the Armstrong's! :)

Graeme is not happy with his chosen wife. He wanted a family
and a wife who could be his lover and friend and give him children, but now
that won’t happen because he’s been ordered to marry a woman who’s not all
there. But once he gets to know her, he learns her secret and finds out that
his dream of a real family can come true and he may even learn to love his extraordinary
wife because she is just that special.
Now that they both have a chance at a happy fulfilling life,
they must convince their clans of that too and worry about an enemy who wants
it all ended. Can they bring their enemy families together and can Eveline win
the love of Graeme’s clan or are they forever doomed to live with this hatred
for the rest of their lives?
Review
This was a really beautiful story! Maya has outdone herself
with this book, it’s even better than her other three historicals combined. :)
With her brilliant writing style and incredibly lovable characters, it’s
impossible to not be sucked into this story and fall in love with the
characters.
Graeme is one of my very favorite heroes I’ve ever read
before. He’s kind and caring towards his clan and fiercely loyal to his people.
And with Eveline, *sigh* he’s such a wonderful man to her. He had every right
to be angry and hate her, but he welcomed her with open arms and tried to make
sure his clan did the same. And when they didn’t, which is so terrible, he
makes sure they know exactly what will happen to them if it happens to her again.
And Eveline, she is such a brave woman with more spirit than she knows what to
do with. Instead of feeling sorry for herself when she was stuck with a clan
she knows hates her and taken from her family, she held her head high and
worked as hard as ever to try and earn their love and loyalty and when they
just treat her like the lowest of the low she gets back up and keeps trying.
Both of these characters are more than just great characters, they’re
inspirational, they’re everything good in life and set a great example for how
every person should be towards everyone. Together they melt the pages too.
Whew, those love scenes were so sweet and sexy. Some of Maya’s best work is in
this book. Trust me, I know. ;)
I also enjoyed all of the secondary characters, specifically
Rory, Graeme’s sister and both his brothers and Eveline’s brothers. I can’t
wait to see what Maya does with them. I really hope they each get their own
books because they’re all drool worthy too. ;) As for Graeme’s clan members,
well I wish I could jump into the book and strangle them for some of the awful
things they did to poor Eveline, who didn’t deserve it but at least they made
up for it when it counted.
All in all, this was a fantastic read! Plenty of lovable
characters, a little action, a little drama and lots of sweet love scenes
(which make the book extra good in my opinion). I give this book 5 Moons and I
recommend it to all Maya Banks fans for sure and those who love Historical
Romance and even some Contemporary fans will love it too! :) Now I have to be
patient for the next book to release….

I just finished the first book in this series and I absolutely LOVED it! It was my most favorite book of Maya's to date but I have every expectation that this book will surpass that with flying colors! I was browsing Goodreads the other day and saw this cover. =) Love a man with tattoos. I have to read this series soon because I've heard nothing but good things about it. I have plenty of time to read the other books before this one releases the beginning of 2013. Let's hope though I can find the time though. I will make time no matter what because I want to buy this book when it comes out. =)

It was my most favorite book of Maya's to date but I have every expectation that this book will surpass that with flying colors! I was going to save this cover for closer to the release day but with the cover reveal of Highlander Most Wanted, #2 in this series, I just couldn't wait anymore. :) I love Highlanders and I definitely have my favorite authors that write about them and Maya is one of the ones at the top of my list! I can't wait to dive into this book.

I have been waiting for this next KGI book for what feels like forever! When I first saw the cover I had to wipe the drool from my chin, it's just so yummy. LOL He may still have his shirt on but there's something so sexy about the whole ripped up shirt thing. *sigh* Only a few more weeks until July 3rd. I'm going to devour this book!!!

What can I say, it's a weakness of mine. Oh...and add in the handcuffs on the photo, I bet you this book is going to be one steamy read. After, proceeding to look at the cover and drool, like I always do when I see this book...I then will find myself reading the synopsis of the book. =)
This is why I chose this as my first "Cover Lust". It's a TOP fave of mine and I can't wait to get my hands on it in July. Oh yes, hurry up July 3rd and get here.

I really like Highlander romance but I always tell people
that they need a certain feel to be believable so it's hard to find really good
ones. This book is one of those good highlander stories. There's love but
there's also heartache and war and a few difficult situations these characters
have to get themselves out of. I can't stand the books that are so uniform,
woman in distress, big man rescues her, they fight for love, they're back
together and everything is perfect. This book was not like that! Yes it had all
of those things, but it had more too. They struggled and fought for ther love
more than once, they overcame very powerful enemies, they had dificult
decisions to make and they made it through them more powerful as a whole and
strong as individuals. I recommend this book to all romance lovers. It's a
wonderful story and I can't wait for the next book in this series!
