My Review:
(Originally Reviewed on Mrs. Papillion aka "The Book Worm")
I was really looking forward to reading Silence once I got it on my Kindle, but unfortunately, I wasn't really impressed with it like I was the first two books.  =(
I still love you, Becca Fitzpatrick.  I was just a little disappointed with the storyline and what happened to Nora.  I mean, she missed months of her life and didn't remember.  It also felt really predictable.
The beginning to the end, didn't have me excited like the first two books did.  I also was upset that Patch didn't come into the book until the middle of it.  Grrr!!!  He's my favorite character out of the story. Oh and don't get me started on the kidnapper who took Nora.  Really...?!  That really pissed me off.
I did like the ending though and what Nora is going to have to do.  I was a little surprised on what happened to Nora too.  Eek!  She really got herself into a lot of mess.
Other than that...I hope the 4th book gets my interest again.
I know I've heard people say that they're upset that Becca decided to have a 4th book because supposedly this was her last book for the Hush Hush series.  We all know a Author can change their minds and we also know a Publisher could've had influence on it too.  I'm looking forward to the fourth book.  I want to know what happens next in the story between Nora and Patch.  I really want to know where Becca is going to take it from the ending she left with "Silence".
I always love a Author who feels they have more to write about.  So, Becca...I'm one of those readers that is anxiously waiting for the 4th book.  You still have love from me...I just think "Silence" isn't my fave of the series.

Review - "Crescendo" by Becca Fitzpatrick

Crescendo
(Hush, Hush #2)
Publishing Date: 10/19/10
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing
Genre: YA
Source: Kindle Edition (Bought)

Description:
Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.
Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperately searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

My Review:
(Originally Reviewed on Mrs. Papillion aka "The Book Worm")
This Book had me so UPSET, but in a good way because I couldn't put it down. I ended up crying several times because of what Nora was put through in this book. Let's just say I despised Patch in this book and wanted nothing more, but to go into my Kindle and smack him to find out why he was putting Nora through Hell. It wasn't fair to her and to make her go through him being with Marcie...another person I wanted to smack around. I am very proud of Nora and her sticking up for herself though. She proved to be a Strong willed girl in this book. I wasn't expecting the part about her Father though. Wow...Becca..you really had me on the edge of my seat on that one. I also wasn't expecting the ending. I was upset that you left me hanging...but that's okay...I got over it. Now I can't wait for the next book. Thank you, thank you for this amazing book. I read it faster than I wanted, but that's okay...gives me more time to ponder on what you may put Nora and Patch through next. I can't wait!!! =)
