What book would you recommend to heat up your summer?
Anna:
I recommend a whole series. I've fallen in love with Moira Rogers' Bloodhound series! Wilder's Mate, Merrick's Destiny, Hunter's Prey and Archer's Lady which is the one I'm so excited about reading. I so love this series and I know it sure heats things up for me! ;)

FranJessca:
I actually recommend two books. One by Sylvia Day and the other by Callie Croix. =)
Love these two Authors.
Bared to You by Sylvia Day (which if you've read the Fifty Shades Trilogy, you may think this book is like that trilogy...I haven't read the Fifty Shades...so I can't compare...I've only heard from other bloggers who have read both) Just to let everyone know though...Gideon...is claimed. J/k
And "Let Me In" by Callie Croix. It's a short, steamy erotic read. I read it in one day...and I'm still thinking about it =)

With the upcoming release of MAGIC MIKE where some of the hottest guys strip nekkid and shake their ummmm assets, we want to know YOUR fantasy cast!
If you could choose six of the hottest stars to shake their moneymakers for you, which guys would it be?
Anna:
Oh oh oh, this has to be my favorite DLS ever! :)
My #1 choice is Jason Momoa, that man is SO sexy!!! And I'd love for him to continue on being his Barbarian self. ;)
I have to agree with Fran about keeping Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello and because I'm a proud Texan I gotta keep Matthew McConaughey only I wish he'd use his bongos in the movie (if you're not sure what I'm talking about, google it). hehe My other two choices are difficult for me to choose but I think I'd have to choose Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgard, I love them both and I know for a fact they've got beautiful bods.
I am so excited to see Magic Mike. My mom and I are making a day of it so we can see the movie together and have some fun after! :)

I'm adding DAVID GANDY. He's a must. * Sigh *
And also, Dwayne Johnson, Brian White, and Ian Somerhalder.
Okay...I'm done drooling at my computer now. Is it June 29th yet because I really want to see "Magic Mike", damn it!

Dirty Little Secret #17
Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
This week's question (thanks to Niina C for the suggestion):
What's the sexiest item of clothing a hero can wear in a novel?
Anna:
My #1 most favorite thing a hero wears in a novel...a kilt! I have a serious addiction to Highlanders, I can't seem to get enough of them! And it's fun to picture what's under that kilt too! ;)
I also have a thing for bad boys, so a man in a long leather trench coat and leather pants really gets me! Especially with no shirt or a skin tight black t-shirt. A motorcycle plus long hair and tattoos and I'm in heaven!!! YUMMY!!!!

FranJessca:
I always love reading about a guy wearing nothing, but jeans, nothing underneath those jeans, and no top. The Author can then describe he's perfect abs. *sigh*
I also like the look that Ryan Reynolds pulls off whenever he dresses. *sigh*

What book would you give a guy to study up on?

Anna
I can't pick just one book but I can narrow it down to a few. :) Faefever or Shadowfever...just as long as he can learn from Barrons I'm happy. LOL The Dark Highlander because if a man can talk to a woman like Dageus can, then he's perfect. And Nauti Dreams because Natches knows how to give it to a woman if you know what I mean. ;)
FranJessca
I've had to think about this one all day. =) I've told my hubby several times already that he could learn a few things from Gideon Cross (Bared to You - by Sylvia Day). Just a few things though.
For any guy out there really, they could learn some things from ALL the male characters in Terry Spear's Heart of the Wolf Series. Yes, I said ALL. Each alpha male character is different, but they know how to take care of their women.
Then there's also Micah and Nathaniel from the Anita Blake Series. Yes, guys should definitely learn from them. Two of my FAVE male characters ever.

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
This weeks question:
If you could visit any country with a fictional character as your guide, who would you pick and why?
Anna
I would want to go to sixteenth century Scotland with Dageus McKeltar and visit Castle Keltar.....we could do an extensive tour of his chambers well because who doesn't want to be in the big Scots bedroom?!?!?! ;)
FranJessca
I would have Ian McNeill guide me around Scotland. Most of the time would be spent in his castle though. He would forget all about Julia Wildthorn after we were done doing the tour of his castle. *hint hint* =)
I have a HUGE fascination with Scottish Men...I am married to a half-scottish man. =)

Dirty Little Secret #11
Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
This weeks question:
If you had 600 million dollars to spend,
what would be the first thing you bought?
what would be the first thing you bought?
Anna
If I had 600 million dollars there are two things I would buy first.
1) I've always wanted to live in a tree house. Not a play tree house, I'm talking a full house built for a family and all.
2) My dream car, a 1967 Pontiac GTO...purple. Just thinking about it makes me have a cargasm. ;)
FranJessca
If I had 600 million dollars, the first thing I would buy would be move ALL of my family to Scotland and buy several Holiday Lodges for my own family and the rest of my immediate family, like my Mom & Step-Dad, my brother and his family, and of course all of my in-laws and their kids. My In-laws lived in Scotland before when they were little, so when they described Scotland to me...I knew that would be my place to live whenever I won the lottery. I would enjoy the beautiful scenery and of course get to hear that Scottish accent everyday. =)
Then of course I would buy my dream car...either a brand new Camaro or buy a 1969 Camaro (always wanted one since I was a kid). =)

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
This week's question:
Now that Lover Reborn has come and passed, what book are you most looking forward to?!
Anna:
Ok, don't crucify me or anything but I haven't even read one of the BDB books yet. :/ Yes, I know I'm way behind and I do plan to read them soon! :) Now to answer the question there are quite a few books I'm dying to read but the one that I'm most looking forward to is Darkness Becomes Her by Jaime Rush. I'm currently stalking NetGalley, Jaime's website and lots of different blog hoping to either win an arc. I'm dying to read this book! I LOVE the Offspring series!!!
FranJessca:
Everyone who knows me, realizes I'm a huge Laurell K. Hamilton fan and I love her Anita Blake Series....So I'm patiently waiting for "Kiss of Dead". (patiently means, biting my nails, screaming at the top of my lungs, and stalking Laurell's facebook fan page everyday to get a excerpt or something from this book...but Laurell isn't budging..LOL) I can wait until June 5th. (at least that's what I keep telling myself) I need my Nathaniel, Jean Claude, Micah and Richard fix, damnit!!! =)

Dirty Little Secret #9
This week's question:
What book has been sitting in your TBR pile the longest and why haven't you picked it up yet? Or more importantly, will you ever read it now that its been sitting there for forever?
Anna's Answer:
On Goodreads the book that's been on my tbr list the longest is Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and it was added Dec. of 2010. I doubt I'll ever get to it, in fact I know I won't. There are WAY too many other books I much rather read and I need to face the facts. I'm addicted to romance...if it doesn't have a sexy alpha hero and as many steamy love scenes, I probably won't read it. LOL
FranJessca's Answer:
On my Goodreads TBR List, I've had Mind Games by Carolyn Crane on there the longest and I really don't think I'll ever get a chance to read it since it's not a priority right now. Maybe in 5 years after I'm done playing catch up with favorites I'll be able to get to it. Highly unlikely though. I have way too many Authors that I favor over others right now and way too many reviews to type from new Authors that have contacted me.

Dirty Little Secret #8
This week's question:
How do you go about reviewing 1 or 2 star books or books you didn't enjoy?
Anna
I really try not to give lower than 2 stars if I can help it and I really really hate giving bad reviews. If I do have a bad review though, I try my hardest to point out the good things first and I'm as nice as I possibly can be when I point out the bad. For me to give a 1 star review means that book was really really really bad and honestly, unless I've promised to read and review for an author I won't even finish a book that bad. 2 stars for me usually mean I didn't like it but it wasn't a bad read, just not for me.
I actually have a review I need to write today that's gonna be a 2 star book review. I really don't want to hurt the authors feelings, since she asked me to review it, but like FranJessca pointed out they need that criticism to improve on future books. I'm just one of those people who likes to please, not upset so it's kinda hard for me but I still do it.

FranJessca
I've never enjoyed giving a book 1 or 2 stars, but after reading a blog post from one of my favorite Authors who said she enjoyed reading lower ranked reviews for her books because she actually would learn what she had to do for the next book to fix it. She wanted to know what would capture her fans hearts again.
If I read a book that has a 1 or 2 star review to it, I tend to ignore the reviews on it. I want to make my own opinion on the book. Everyone has their own opinion on books. I may end up liking the book when others didn't. For example, I read a YA book that a lot of people were bad mouthing the Author for killing off a favorite main character in their reviews. I ended up liking it because the Author had guts to kill one of the main characters like that.
I've never not finished a book if I wasn't enjoying it. I'll set it down for awhile and come back to it and maybe it will capture my attention again. All and all, I will finish a book no matter what, it just will take me longer to read it. When typing up a review for the book I didn't really like, I will be respectful towards the Author and not make a HUGE drama review like some reviewers do. That's just not in my nature to do. I want the Author to know what I liked about the book and what I didn't like. I never will be disrespectful because I always think how hard the Author put into the book to write it. Some of them, give up time away from their families to write a book.

Dirty Little Secret # 5
Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
Which author introduced you to urban fantasy or paranormal romance?
Our Answer:
Anna:
My very first paranormal romance was Maya Banks' Golden Eyes and Amber Eyes and from those two I found Rhyannon Byrd. I can't really remember how but I'm so thankful they led me to my very favorite author and her Primal Instinct series. And thank goodness I got bored with regular old contemporary romance because if I hadn't I might never have found PNR which I now can NOT live without. :)
FranJessca:
This is a easy answer for me. My first Urban Fantasy Novel was from Anne Rice and that was back in High school. *Cough* 11 years ago. Yes, I'm that old.
I read "The Mummy" by Anne Rice and was hooked. I need to read her books again since it's been that long.
As for Paranormal Romance...I didn't get into it until another Mom friend introduced me to the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward in 2009. It had been awhile since I read any kind of book since I was in the Navy at the time. Once I started reading "Dark Lover"....I had a hard time putting it down. My poor hubby got neglected until I read all the books from the Series, until I was all caught up. I have to say J.R. Ward definitely made me become very addictive to Paranormal Romance...and I don't think I'm ever going to stop my addiction. I love me some Vampires, Werewolves, etc.

Dirty Little Secret #4

It's lent and time to give up your favourite things for 40 days and 40 nights (or sneak some when no one is looking!) What series of books would you have to give up, and why?
Our Answer:
Anna
There is no way I could give up any books for any amount of time, no way! I need my books for the sake of my sanity because I stay home all day every day with my kids and take care of my home. The books, especially the series, I read are my only escape. To take that away from me would make me feel alone. Yeah, I'd much rather give up something else, like sodas or something like that.
FranJessca
You seriously want me to try giving up reading one of my series or some for Lent? Hahahaha..**ROFL**
That will definitely never happen, ever. I can't give up BDB, Anita Blake or even LOTR. There's no way. I would put my husband through hell if I did. And the funny thing is, he would have no clue on what the real reason was to my insanity...he would just assume I'm PMSing.
Nope...instead, I would have to give up drinking Soda and eating chocolate. (which is very doable for me since I gave up those two things when I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter)

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at
Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our

their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
This week's question:
Heroes
in historical romance like the extremes - the virgin hero or the rogue
rake. Which of the two makes you shudder in pleasure?
Anna's Answer:
Definitely the rogue rake! When I think of a historical romance the only one I want to be a virgin is the heroine. I've read a few with a virgin hero and it just didn't do it for me. My idea of a good hero has to be a man who knows what he's doing and a virgin just....doesn't. ;)
FranJessca's Answer:
I haven't read that much of historical romance yet...but I plan on it in the very near future. Actually, Elise Marion got me reading Historical Romance after I read her book, "The Third Son" and ever since I love the genre. =) I would have to say I prefer the rogue rake over the virgin Hero. Who wouldn't want to tame the "Rogue Rake"? I'm one of those gals, who would love to tame him. =)

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
So it's V-Day. You are all dressed up in your tiniest, yet most expensive undies (go figure!), got a dress on your mother would definitely disapprove of and enough condoms to keep a football team happy, where are you going and which of your favourite book boyfriends are taking you there?
Anna's Answer:
I'll be spending the evening with Aiden Shrader (from Rhyannon
Byrd's PI series), an extremely tall, incredibly sexy tiger shifter. We plan to
have an intimate dinner at some fancy restaurant but I'm pretty sure after
seeing me in my super sexy dress (I'm just skipping the undies, must have easy
access) he'll hopefully decide dinner isn't very important and we can just skip right to
dessert...which is me and maybe some whipped cream, chocolate(for dipping...maybe)
and of course we can't forget the strawberries.
FranJessca's Answer:
Both of my Valentines, Rehvenge and Nathaniel have planned a candle light dinner on a Private Beach. We have a nice light dinner and then we move onto dessert....Red Wine, and chocolate covered strawberries. Things start to heat up and of course I'm sandwiched between the dominant Rehvenge and submissive Nathaniel (*fans myself*). Things get really heated up, maybe some candle wax gets spilled (hehe), handcuffs, and a blindfold. The next thing I know, I'm on a blanket on the Beach...and well you get the idea. =) (Oh and that little black dress I was wearing, I have no idea how it ended up in the waves of the ocean.)

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by us at Under the Covers. Every Thursday we get to know other bloggers and our readers more intimately by asking them a question hoping to reveal their dirty little secrets. We hope that you will all join us!
If you could travel back in time, what era would you like to find yourself in and why?
Anna's Answer:
It's hard to pick one because there are two specific time periods that I love but if I have to choose one era it would have to be the Viking Era. Norsemen were mighty and brutal warriors. They wanted something, they took it...by force if necessary (which most certainly was in those days I'm sure). They crafted beautiful ships and went on long voyages because they wanted to explore everything. To live through that time, to have seen it, would be incredible.
FranJessca's Answer:
Definitely a hard question this week, since I would want to travel to back to several eras. The Era I definitely would love to go to and haven't read about in awhile...is the Egyptian (Pharaoh) time. I think my goals would be to find out what actually happened to King Tut and also find out who actually created the pyramids (you know how historians always come up with something different every year...LOL and they have their own theories). I've personally been fascinated with the beauty of that era since I was a child. I would love to read a love story from that era.
What Era would you have liked to find yourself in?
