Shelf Candy ( #8 )

Shelf Candy hosted by Five Alarm Book Reviews. Every Saturday, bloggers choose a book whose cover really catches their eye.
Who doesn't judge a book by it's cover?
FranJessca's Pick
Title: Bleeding Violet
Author: Dia Reeves
Designer: Paul Weil

I have yet to read this book and it's been in my Kindle for the last two years.  I can't even tell you what the description is without having to go to Goodreads.  I plan on reading this book though, I just don't know when.
I think when I bought this book, I bought it because of the title and the cover alone.  The color purple and the font that was used for the Title of the book is what got me.  I didn't even see the girl originally until I focused my eyes to the left.  The cover definitely betrays the title though, "Bleeding Violet".  The girl laying the fabric or pool of purple is fascinating also.
Now after staring at this cover for the past few minutes...I think next month I will read it.  If anyone has read it, please let me know what you thought about it in the comments.  I would love to know.  =)

Anna's Pick
Title: Incarnate
Author: Jodi Meadows
Designer: Unknown

I bought this book about a month ago just because of the cover. I haven't had the chance to read it yet but I will soon. This cover is absolutely stunning. The colors are beautiful and I love the wings around her eyes. Makes it look so magical. :)

Great picks! I have never seen the Bleeding Violet cover. I want to read it now too! It's funny because I have books like that too that I have to go back and look them up on goodreads.

Incarnate is a gorgeous cover. I have it on my kindle but I wish I had it in hardcover so I could enjoy the cover.

Thanks for sharing!

Both are beautiful! I havent read either but i want too!! I am bug sucker for a butterfly so Incarnate is a perfect choice!!

I saw the Incarnate book at B&N the other day and just stared at the cover. I love the colors and the butterfuly. If I had had more money on my gift card I probably would have bought it too. Great pick. My Shelf Candy

These are both incredible covers.
I have always thought that the cover for Incarnate is beautiful. The cover for Bleeding Violet has looks almost fluid and the pop of red in the font is nice.
Thanks for sharing these.

I just love the cover for Incarnate! I haven't seen the cover for Bleeding Violet before, but I think it's great! I love purple, so it's right up my alley.
