Deciding it’s time to get on with his life after having his career ruined by a romance novel that is rumored to be about him is published, bluegrass star Nic Taylor moves out to California. When he finds himself in the company of none other than June Cricket a real life fan and the author of the romance novel, he must confront her about the mess she’s made of his life. But after spending time together and getting to know one another better, Nic isn’t so sure she did it on purpose. And with a closer look at the whole situation, things aren’t quite how they might seem.

Review
This was a quick fun read, full of love, laughter and some good ol’ bluegrass. I’ve never read a bluegrass romance before and I have to say it was pretty refreshing to have something a little new. Most people aren’t exposed to bluegrass music but I can honestly say I have been. My great grandma and my grandfather listened to it sometimes when I was a kid, so it’s kinda cool to be able to picture it.

I liked the story line and the characters were very entertaining but there were a couple of things that really bothered me about this book. Nic was a major jerk first of all, he didn’t let up one bit on June pretty much through the whole book and it really wasn’t all her fault. His son even thought that. And June, my goodness, does she like to be walked all over and talked down to because she just kept coming right back for more. Maybe it’s just me but that bit of their relationship could have been toned down a bit. The love scenes were ok, not spectacular but good. And I very much enjoyed June and Nic when they were with other people, especially at Junes friend cafe. I guess I just can’t get past the way Nic acted towards her and June just taking it, so that’s why I gave this book 3 Moons and not 4. Still, it was worth reading and I look forward to the next story. 
