Interview & Giveaway with Tammy Falkner
Welcome to our virtual tour stop of Tammy Falkner's The Magic of "I Do" Blog Tour brought to you by Sourcebooks.
1. Tell us three things about yourself that readers may not know about you. TF: 1. I am the ultimate sports mom.
2. I have more dogs than I have common sense. And I hate cats, so I only have five of them.
3. I can whistle really loudly through my teeth, but I can’t carry a tune. It’s only good for whistling at ballgames.
2. What does a typical writing day look for you?
TF: I write by the scene. I see books like scenes from a movie. When I have a scene in my head, I write it. It might take me an hour. It might take me five hours. But I can’t stop until that scene is done.
3. Tell us a little bit about The Magic "I Do" and why readers should check it out?
TF: Lately, all my heroes tend to fall in love immediately and they spend a whole book trying to convince the heroine of why she should trust him, love him, want him, be his, etc. Finn is the perfect hero, and Claire is the perfectly resistant foil to his charms. She’s headstrong and beautiful, but that’s not even why he loves her. Add in some danger, a troublesome garden gnome, and sex at the beginning of the book, and it’s a win!
4. What inspired you to write the Faerie novels?
TF: I had already written vampyres and Lycans writing as Lydia Dare. I started thinking of all the things that could live and interact with the ton, and faeries seemed to fit!
5. If you could be one of your characters, who would you be and why?
TF: I would be Ronald’s love interest. (The garden gnome.)
6. How did you come up with the names of the characters? ( I love Lord Phineas Tremble's name)
TF: Honestly, I don’t spend any time at all on names. I skim through a book or a name website until one jumps out at me.
7. Who designed the covers of the Faerie books? (They all are very stunning and beautiful)
TF: Sourcebooks has designers who take care of all that. Sometimes they do custom photo shoots! Did you know the heroines on both of my books are former Playboy models? True story.
8. Fun Question: If paranormal creatures were real, what creature would you want to be and why?
TF: The garden gnome. He gets into all sorts of mischief.
9. What is up next for Tammy Falkner?
TF: Next up is THE MAGIC BETWEEN US in January, and I have a New Adult book, TALL, TATTED AND TEMPTING that will be out in June.
10. Do you have anything specific you want to say to your readers?
TF: Thanks so much for hanging out with me today. I hope you love and appreciate the magic as much as I do.
The Magic of "I Do"
(Faerie #2)
by Tammy Falkner
Publishing Date: 6/4/13
Publisher: Sourcebooks
Genre: Historical Regency Romance (with PNR)
Description:
Desperately Seeking Excitement...
With the temporary prohibition on magic on the land of the Fae, Claire Thorne might as well go back to the Regency world. The haut ton has just as many annoying rules as her world, but at least they have parties and dances. Plus, the roguish Lord Phineas "Finn" Trimble is there...
When the feisty faerie tumbles into his room through a magical portal, Finn can't believe how completely unpredictable she is. Even before the two stumble into a dangerous intrigue that threatens both their worlds, Finn discovers that his hitherto carefree life is about to go up in smoke...
