Gwen Cassidy is tired of her lonely boring life so on a whim she decided to go to Scotland to get away and just maybe meet a man. Hiking outside of the town she’s currently staying in Gwen falls into a cave and finds a beautiful enchanted Highlander.
Drustan MacKeltar awakens to a strange place and time to find a lovely little woman sitting on top of him. When he discovers what has happened he makes Gwen take him to the place where his castle used to stand so he can fix what has been done.
Thrust into sixteenth-century Scotland Gwen fight to help Drustan save his clan and to remember her because she just might be falling in love with him.

My Review

After reading the Fever series I just had to read these books. I probably should have started with book 1 and read them in order but because I was so curious about Drustan, Dageus and Cian I went ahead and started with their books, this one being the first I read. First off I’ll say I made the best choice possible, this book was SO good and you don’t need to read the first 3 books in order to enjoy this one. They’re not really tied to close together.  Drustan is a big, strong, honorable man and he’s such a sweetheart to Gwen. And I just LOVED Gwen! She was so funny!!! They just fit together perfectly. The time travel was fun too. You get a little bit of both worlds, present day and sixteenth century Scotland. From now on all highlander books I read will most likely be compared to this one, it’s just that good.
