Guest Post + Giveaway with Sara Humphreys
Welcome to our Virtual tour stop of Sara Humphrey's Undone brought to you by Sourcebooks.
Top 10 Things I Adore About Pete and Marianna—by Sara Humphreys
1. They’re a mixed couple. Marianna is a pureblood female shapeshifter from the Bear Clan and Pete is a human. They couldn’t be more different but it’s their differences that make them so much fun.
2. Pete doesn’t take any of her guff. Marianna is a high-spirited Amoveo woman from the Bear Clan and is used to doing her own thing but that all changes when Pete comes along. Even though he’s only human, he disarms her like no one else can.
3. Marianna may be physically stronger than Pete but she doesn’t emasculate him and make him feel like less of a man
4. Their passion for each other knows no limits. Let’s just say that these two find creative ways and places to get busy. I think Marianna’s unpredictable side helps keep things interesting. Pete likes to say that it’s the bear in her.
5. Pete has a great sense of humor, which borders on being a total smart-ass. I love that he can make Marianna laugh even if she’s annoyed with him.
6. They both love animals and have a particular fondness for a dog named Tramp.
7. Pete gets Marianna outside her comfort zone. He gets her to go ice fishing and do other things that she would never have considered doing before she met him.
8. Family is highly important to both of them and they’re both intensely loyal individuals.
9. They are forgiving of each other and are fully aware that no one is perfect.
10. With one look between the two and a knowing grin, no words are needed and the games begin.

Does She Dare to Love One?

Interview with Sara Humphreys + Giveaway (Counting down to Undone)
Book Lovin' Mamas.
1. Tell our readers a little bit about yourself.
Sure! I’m mom to four boys ages 12 (twins), 14 and 17. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for almost 19 years. We met in college at the bar across the street from campus, where I was of course studying ;) I quit my day job last year and have transitioned into writing full-time which has been a dream come true. Not only do I get to do what I love but I have much more flexibility which allows me to spend more time with my boys.
2. You have the next upcoming book in The Amoveo Legend Series coming out, "Undone". Would you tell our readers what it is about?
Absolutely. Undone features Marianna Coltari, a pureblood Amoveo from the Bear Clan who wants nothing to do with the civil war that’s broken out among her people. She just wants to hang out in NYC and have fun. Pete Castro is a human. He works for Marianna’s brother, Dante and unbeknownst to Marianna, Pete knows all about the Amoveo.
Dante, worried about the Purists trying to get to Marianna, hires Pete to keep an eye on his sister. Let’s just say that the sparks fly.
Also, this book introduces the vampires and reveals a new layer to the world. I have a spinoff series coming this summer called Dead in the City. Book One, Tall, Dark, and Vmapire will be out in August.
3. What was the hardest and easiest scene to write in "Undone" (without of course giving too much away)
There’s a rather violent scene towards the end of the book that was really draining to write. In fact, my editor asked me to tone it down because she felt it was too disturbing.
4. What kind of research did you have to do for the book?
I research locations, especially if I’ve never been there. I also research the different animals because the Amoveo possess certain animal qualities while in their human form. For example, since Marianna is in the Bear Clan, she’s not affected by cold as much as a normal human. Layla, a hybrid from the Cheetah Clan, has incredible speed.
5. How different is Marianna from her brother Dante? Was she hard to write compared to her brother? (And on that note...I LOVE me some, Dante) =)
Well, they’re fraternal twins but from different clans. Amoveo from different clans can mate and they don’t know which clan their child will favor until they go through puberty. Marianna’s father was a member of the Bear Clan, like her and Pete is a member of the Fox Clan, like his mother. Marianna is more impulsive than Dante, which is directly related to her Bear Clan heritage. She’s also got a temper on her, where as Dante is more patient.
6. What is Dante's reaction to Marianna and Pete? (Brothers tend to be very protective of their sisters no matter if they are older or younger than them)
He kind of flips out at first but Pete is one of his best friends, so it’s all good.
7. Tell us why readers will fall in love with Pete Castro?
I hope they do. I adore Pete. He’s a bit of a wiseass, he’s funny, and although he’s fiercely protective of Marianna, he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s also got gorgeous blue eyes and a killer smile.
8. How many books do you have planned for The Amoveo Legend Series?
I’m contracted for five novels and two novellas. The fifth novel, Unclaimed, will be out in December and there’s also one more novella in my contract. I have at least two more novels in mind but release dates etc, aren’t finalized yet. Believe me…there will be more Amoveo Legend novels.
9. What is up next for Sara Humphreys?
I have two spin off series coming up. Prices of Hell will be my first self-published series and will be released in episodes, basically novellas. My plan is to release one every month. The other spin off series, Dead in the City, starts this August with Tall, Dark, and Vampire. I can’t wait to hear what readers think of my vamps.
Also, I’m going to be branching out into a new genre—contemporary romance. The series is called Holding Out for a Hero and each book will feature a man in uniform.
10. Do you have anything specific you want to tell your readers?
Thank you. Thank you so much for your support. I know people have a lot of options out there when it comes to books, and I’m so very grateful that mine are among them.
Also—if you haven’t tried the Amoveo Legend series yet, you can download a “forever free” short story on Amazon or B&N. UNDENIED is super short but it will give you a taste of the world of the Amoveo.

Sara has been a lover of both the paranormal and romance novels for years. Her sci-fi/fantasy/romance obsession began years ago with the TV Series STAR TREK and an enormous crush on Captain Kirk. That sci-fi obsession soon evolved into the love of all types of fantasy/paranormal; vampires, ghosts, werewolves, and of course shape shifters.
Sara is married to her college sweetheart, Will. They live in Bronxville, New York with their 4 boys and 2 insanely loud dogs. Life is busy but never dull.
ARC Review: "Undone" by Sara Humphreys
Undone
(The Amoveo Legend Series #4)
by: Sara Humphreys
Publishing Date: 5/7/13
Publisher: Sourcebooks
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Source: Netgalley
Description:
Party girl Marianna Coltari is an unmated pureblood Amoveo who wants nothing to do with the ongoing war that took her father’s life and continues to consume her brother Dante’s. But when she is targeted by one of the clans, she has little choice but to run and hide in a cabin with Pete Castro, a retired cop from her brother’s security firm. There, Pete and Marianna explore an intensifying attraction between them until danger is at the door and there’s no escape.
My Review:
Sara Humphreys knows how to keep a reader turning the pages or actually in my case, swiping the screen on my Kindle Fire so I can find out what happens next.
Sara picks up from the last book and introduces you to Dante's fraternal twin, Marianna who is definitely different from her brother. She's difficult and very stubborn, but Dante hires his friend, Pete to watch over her. She definitely does not make it easy for Pete. In fact, she was difficult for me to like at first, but after awhile, she grew on me. She just wanted the truth and I could not blame her. I would want the truth as well.
Pete Castro had to be the main reason why I loved "Undone" due to his charm, over-protectiveness and well...his way in the bedroom (or lack of bedroom). He knew how to handle Marianna, even when her fraternal twin could not. I was curious on what Pete was from the very beginning and when Sara finally revealed what he was, I was intrigued. He's much different than any of the other male characters in the previous books.
The Purists played a part in this story even more and what they were up to. If you have read the other books, you will learn more on what the Purists are up to in this book. It's not for the faint of heart either. In fact I cannot stand the main guy, Artimus. I wanted to go through the book and rip him apart. He definitely has issues. Don't even get me started on his son, Hayden, either. I literally hate the Purists even more after reading this book and they definitely need to be dealt with.
Sara does another phenomenal job on the fourth installment to her Amoveo Legend Series. I literally went through so many emotions with this one and let me tell you after you read this book, you will never look at a snowmobile the same way. =)
Yes, this book definitely tops all the others when it comes to most nail biting, gut wrenching, and heart failing moments ever. Sara even gives you the hottest scenes between two characters who will steal your heart away and have you either running to the shower to cool down or grabbing some cold water to drink. (I still cannot get over that snow mobile scene)
Seriously, if you have not read this series yet, you need to. I highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there and fans of shape shifters. Sara takes you into a world of shifters who will capture your heart and all you want is for them to have a happily ever after without the Purists trying to ruin it for them.
I look forward to the next installment and now the new series coming out from Sara at the end of this summer.
This book will give you not only the shape shifters, but also demons, hellhounds, and vampires. I bet that got your attention now. =)
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchanged for an honest review.
