Guest Post & Giveaway with Karin Tabke

I (FranJessca) am excited to welcome back Karin Tabke to Book Lovin' Mamas today. She's one of my FAVE Authors who is an automatic buy for me whenever she has a new book come out. Her last book in the Blood Moon Rising Trilogy, "Blood Vow" came out on Tuesday, 12/4. If you have never read this Trilogy before, then you definitely should start. You'll be able to read all 3 books back to back, instead of waiting. =) Just be warned, you will fall in love with all the characters and find out that Falon is one LUCKY woman!
I Write What I Know
First off, I want to say a quick thank you to FranJessca for the invite to come back and hang out with Book Lovin’ Mamas!  Xo
I write what I know: which happens to be erotic romance populated with hot cops, knights in shining armor, sinful lycan, wicked vamps, and the sexy ladies who fight with them, for them and right beside them.  I guess that makes me a kick ass, sex pot who fears nothing and has the hottest guys on the planet panting after her. Whoo hoo it’s great to be me!
Hah, in my dreams.
But there are some parallels… ^_~
Am I sex pot? Hey, I’m not a nun. I write erotic romance for a living.
I am married to a retired cop.
I may not have stolen top secret information from foreign arms dealers or karate chopped my way out of an ambush but I have kicked a few asses in my time when the circumstances required such action.
I have the hero department nailed. I write the kind of heroes I have intimate knowledge of: the enigmatic alpha. i.e the hubster. For those of you who have read my work, you know my heroes are alpha to the max.  They are intelligent, decisive, passionate, protective, loyal, possessive, and they can always make my heroine laugh.  There are no gray areas with my men.  They are born with an inherent command presence and while the world sees them as serious and moody, they have a soft mushy center when it comes to the people they love, most especially their lady.
I’d be lying if I said there isn’t a part of me in every one of my heroines.  Some more than others, but at the end of the day, they are as alpha as their men, but all woman.  I like being a woman.  I like all that being a female entails, especially the part of me that connects with my hero. Same goes for my heroines.  They love loving their men. It’s good to be us.  ;)
When I wrote Falon’s character in the Blood Moon Rising series, she came to me in slow enigmatic wisps.  In BLOOD LAW, she was innocent and unsure, yet her strength grew with the power of Rafael’s love.  In BLOODRIGHT, stripped of Rafa’s love and protection Falon had to stand alone and face the choice of standing beside a man she despised and who was forced on her or walk away from him and in so doing let an entire nation down.  Not only did she dig deep, she redefined herself and the two men she loved.  In BLOOD VOW, Falon comes fully into her own and is a force of nature to be reckoned with. Yet for all her power, she is also vulnerable. She loves and hates with equal fierceness.  And the two men who love her more than their own lives will stop at nothing to have her as their own.
In many ways, Falon’s evolution of discovering her own power as a woman mirrored mine. And there is power in simply knowing you possess it.   Not power over others but of yourself. Once Falon realized who she was to herself, the two men she loved and to her people, there was no stopping her.  Not even when she was abandoned.  She was going to get the job done regardless.  It’s women like Falon who I aspire to be.
Now I know we all love our heroes, but tell me, who is your all-time favorite heroine?
^_~ Ok, I have one more question:  For those of you who have read BLOOD LAW and BLOODRIGHT: Team Rafa or Team Luca?
I have a signed copy of any one of my back list titles to a randomly selected commenter who answers either one of the questions in the comment section.
Oh, and if we aren’t already fb friends, send me a friend request! https://www.facebook.com/karin.tabke/

Description:
For all eternity, only one thing shall separate them—until the Blood Law is avenged… The coming of the Blood Moon will lead two Lycan packs into war, spur two rival brothers into conflict, and spark an act of vengeance so evil that its effects will be felt for generations. One woman stands at the center of it all. As undisputed Alpha, Rafael must choose a life mate to preserve the dominance of his Lycan pack. He never suspected, his mate would be a human, the same wounded, girl-woman he seduces from the brink of death. Falon is a dangerous combination of Lycan and Slayer—beings bred to destroy his kind. Even more, she’s a mesmerizing beauty whose sensuality tempts the seasoned warrior to take unnecessary risks. The primal heat between them is irresistible, yet surrendering to it could destroy them both…for a vengeful foe stands ready in the shadows to fulfill what is rightfully his by Blood Law.

Description:
The coming of the Blood Moon will lead two Lycan packs into war, spur two rival brothers into conflict, and spark an act of vengeance so evil that its effects will be felt for generations. One woman stands at the center of it all... After years of waiting, the Blood Law is at last avenged. Lycan Alpha Lucien Mondragon takes revenge on his brother, Rafael. Lucien is poised to slay Rafael's life mate, the Lycan/Slayer half-breed Falon- but cannot complete the kill. For Falon's mystical powers and fiery nature awaken a heart Lucien thought long dead. Instead of ending her life, Lucien defiantly marks Falon as his own, tormenting his brother to insanity and spurning Rafael's blood thirst for his own revenge. Though terrified by the savage Lucien, Falon finds herself inexplicably drawn to his primal rage and strength by a desire she cannot resist. Torn between the true love she has for Rafael and the burning hunger she holds for Lucien, Falon knows that the will of her heart will lead her to her destined life mate. But it may also doom the Alpha brothers-and the Lycan race-to extinction...

A volatile mix of both Lycan and Slayer, half-breed Falon is Alpha female of her pack, marked by rival Alpha brothers. Falon begs them not to condemn her for her father’s deeds. She realizes before her Alpha mates do that they are destined to be one and pleads with them to accept the unusual triangle. Now, if Lucien and Rafael cannot overcome their pride and accept their fate, the annihilation of the Lycan race waits within the shadow of the Blood Moon..
(Bio taken from website)
For a long time, controlled chaos ruled Karin’s life. Busy mother of four, owner of her own successful business and wife to a street cop, she harbored thoughts of twisting plots and hot romantic scenes. Now, with only one child left at home and hubby retired from law enforcement, Karin happily pounds out those steamy scenes at her keyboard.
Still semi-distracted by her adult children (Yay! no more phone calls from the high school!) and her husband now a successful football coach (Yay! No more worrying when he’s out on the street!), Karin turns out stories about hot cops, bold knights, bad boy werewolves, and the women who bring them to their knees.
A full-time writer, Karin draws on a lifetime of stories and backdrops that few outside of the law enforcement community ever see, let alone hear about. Controlled chaos now reins supreme through the pages she writes where hot heroes serve, protect, and pleasure from page one to The End.

Hard choice for me. I would pick either Anna from Patricia Briggs' Alpha and Omega series or Rachael from Kim Harrison's Hallows series.
