"Her Warriors Three Wishes" by Carrie Ann Ryan (Excerpt/Giveaway)

Thank you so much for having me here today! Below is a special excerpt from my upcoming release, Her Warriors’ Three Wishes! You can purchase the second book in the Dante’s Circle series on Monday!!
Jamie Bennett cursed as a car sped by her through a puddle, splashing her with muddy water. The asshole obviously meant to compensate for a shortage of something. Dirty water and mud dripped from her hair and rain jacket, only adding to her already dreary, exhausted state.
Oh, yes, the mud accentuated her look, right?
With a growl, or at least what she thought was a growl but was more like a whimper, she pulled the muddy locks of hair from her face. Her chestnut hair now had lively gray and puke-brown streaks in it. Thankfully, she’d worn her raincoat since the weather patterns seemed to be stuck on rain. They’d been living in a gray world for months now, even though summer was just around the corner.
With one last shake of her head to remove what mud she could, she walked into Dante’s Circle, her favorite bar and sanctuary. Dante’s wasn’t a normal bar. No, it was owned and operated by a dragon.
Yes, a real dragon.
Not that she and her friends had known that when they’d stumbled upon it a couple of years ago. One of them, Becca, had even gotten a job as a bartender there to pay for school. Before, it had been a way for her and her six friends to let go of the worries of the day and connect the way none of them could with others outside their circle.
Then the night of the storm had changed everything.
Jamie and her friends had been struck by lightning, and now they weren’t humans anymore. Not that they’d ever been truly as human as they’d thought, but Jamie didn’t quite understand the science of it all. Lily, the chemist of the group, knew all about that.
Now Lily had turned into a brownie because she’d met Shade, and Jamie had turned into a…well, a nothing. She just hurt.
A lot.
She felt as though she was ready to change—her skin too tight, her body too active—yet nothing had happened.
Apparently, she needed to have sex with her true half.
The man—or angel—she thought just might fill that role wanted nothing to do with her.
Yay for her.
Jamie took another step into Dante’s, removed her jacket, and hung it up on one of the numerous pegs on the wall. She loved the feel of the bar, the way it felt like home with its hand-carved wood paneling and shelves. There was a pool table in the corner, but it didn’t add a sense of a pool hall to the bar. It just made it a place to have fun. Tables with mismatched chairs covered the room, making it feel warm to her. Pictures of the town and its inhabitants and paintings from local artists covered the walls.
Dante’s Circle could have held every aspect of the history of the town, especially with a dragon–who was god knows how old–as the owner, if Dante had desired it.
No, he preferred it to be his own little corner of the world.
Perfect for Jamie and her friends.
“Jamie! What on earth happened to you?” Becca asked. She put down the tray she’d been holding on the bar and grabbed a handful of paper towels, running toward Jamie. Her curly red hair bounced on her shoulders.
Jamie took the towels out of Becca’s hand before her friend could mother her. As she wiped her face, she rolled her eyes.
“Some asshat with a small penis drove by too fast and splashed me.”
Becca’s eyes widened. “I assume you know the size of his penis because of his car, not from personal experience.”

Humans aren’t as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a trait of supernatural that lays dormant within their genetic make-up. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes?
Ambrose Griffin is older than most, if not all, civilizations. As each year passes, he submerses himself into his training, only relaxing around his protĂ©gĂ©e and friend, Shade.  After losing his wife and children in the last Angelic Wars, he guards his heart and has no desire to share it with another.
Bookkeeper and romance novel enthusiast, Jamie Bennett dreams of being swept off her feet by a white knight. However, her life is no romance book. Since meeting Ambrose—a sexy, delicious angel—she’s been twisted inside out and doesn’t know why.  Things are happening that she can’t control and now her life is in danger.
Balin Drake is stuck in hell, literally. His life of refusing to take souls, even though it’s part of his demon nature, has caught up with him. He’s dying and now must search for his true half, but even a mating may not save him. When he meets the two people who could fill that part, he’ll need to fight for something he hasn’t felt in over a century—hope.
Warning: Contains a rigid angel who needs a certain sexy woman to help him unwind, a book keeper who finds herself the creamy center of the best cookie ever, and a demon who has a certain taste for pressing them both against walls.

Blog Tour: "Finding Abigail" by Carrie Ann Ryan (Excerpt/Giveaway)

Tyler Cooper is the town sheriff and, in the past, had been the only person keeping Holiday steady. Though the community is now finding out that it’s town is magical, Tyler has always known it—it’s in his blood.  He has always known his fate of becoming a cupid, striking love into the hearts others, but an enemy from his past is set on keeping him from finding his own destiny—and love.
Abigail Clarke is leaving Holiday for good. She has to. After years of trying to fit in and make Tyler notice her, she’s giving up. She’s watched her friends fall in love and it’s  heartbreaking. Acknowledging that the one man she’s always loved doesn’t want her,  it’s time to move on and find her own future.
Right when the stars align and Tyler opens his eyes, his enemy is back and has his sights on Abigail. Abigail is in danger and Tyler  may be the only one to stand up to him and save her.

Warning: Contains one sexy sheriff who turns into cupid, complete with bow and arrow, the sweetest teacher you’ll ever meet who needs to find her bad girl side, and a love of candy hearts that’s sure to bring them together.

(high heat level)
“Just keep your eye on the ball,” Tyler said as he wrapped his arms around Abigail, liking the way her bottom pressed against his groin. Her wings were tucked into her back so he could pull her closer and not worry about crushing the fragile, surprisingly sensitive things.
“I bet you say that to all the girls.” She laughed and wiggled in his hold.
His cock sprang to attention, the zipper on his jeans sure to leave a mark. Holy hell, this woman made him hot.
He couldn’t wait to strip her down, bend her over something, and sink into her heat.
Soon.
Tyler nipped at her ear, and she jumped, almost hitting him on the head with the bat.
“Okay, maybe I should show you how to hit before you give me a concussion,” he teased then kissed her cheek. He lingered, inhaling her scent of roses.

Blog Tour: Santa's Executive (Guest Post/Excerpt/Giveaway)

A Post from Justin Cooper

You ever wonder what it’s like to be one of Santa’s helpers? Yeah, I didn’t think you did. But now look at me, one of Santa’s executives. Before all of this, I didn’t think Santa was real.
I mean, sure, I knew witches and ghosts were real because I’ve seen them. Matt, my brother, is an ex ghost, while Jordan, his fiancĂ©e is a witch.
So I knew the whole paranormal thing was real.
But who knew about Santa.
Well, apparently I should have known considering I’d met the guy when I was younger. But I was kind of unconscious at the time since I’d just been in an accident. But really, it wasn’t my fault.
Okay, so I should have remembered something about a big dude in a red suit, but whatever.
Now I’m Santa’s executive, complete with holiday magic. Thankfully I’m not alone. I got to meet my Rina, one of Santa’s elves.
The very sexy kind.
She helped me figure out how to do this whole Christmas thing. Plus, I got to be by her side.
Now, we had a little issue with a  Christmas baddie, but we’re okay now.
And I get to find my sexy elf under the mistletoe. What more do I need.
—Justin Cooper

 Description

Justin Cooper wasn’t always the straight-laced Holiday Elementary School principal. In his youth, he broke all the rules and enjoyed being the bad Cooper brother.  One Christmas Eve night he got a little too rowdy and things changed forever. Now the consequences of that fateful night have come back in full force and the myths of Christmas might be more real than he thought.
Rina Brewer is one of Santa’s elves. Not the tiny cute little toy maker, but the sexy, petite, energy filled bombshell kind. She’s come to Holiday to aid Justin in his new role as Santa’s executive, but as soon as she sees the sexy ex-bad boy, she realizes the job may be more than she bargained for.
As they work together to make this Christmas one to remember, an old foe has come to town to make sure that this holiday is the coldest yet.
Warning: Contains a perky elf who dreams of something more, a Christmas myth who may be a baddie, and a sexy ex-bad boy who craves Christmas cookies…and a certain perky blonde.

It would be totally inappropriate to want him.
But, in reality, the connection between an assistant and their executive could be an intimate one if they let it. They were sharing magic, and sometimes a connection would hold. She hadn’t thought about that when she’d come down here. Honestly, she hadn’t thought much of anything. But, she couldn’t think of any of that now. No, she had work to do.
Plus, the object of her thoughts was staring at her with an intensity that threatened to send shivers of need down her body.
“Rina?” Justin’s deep voice caught her attention, and she wanted to moan. Fruitcake, she had to get off that track. “What’s wrong? Are you still cold?”
He pulled her closer and ran his hands up and down her arms. She almost closed her eyes and leaned into his touch but resisted. Barely.
“I’m fine, just warming up.” She pulled back from his arms and tried to ignore the sudden loss. “Are you ready to go?”

Blog Tour: "Enforcer's Redemption" by Carrie Ann Ryan (Guest Post/Giveaway)

The Mean Hero

Not every hero is a knight in shining armor. More often than not, they’re anything but. I for one, love that. I love the fact that these alpha men have cracks in their armor. They’re a little rusty and bruised from a hard life. That draws me in. I know it’s not for everyone, but that’s a big thing for me.
Even with all those bruises, heroes can come in many forms. They can take those experiences and use them to be kind and knowing.
Other times they’re mean.
Yes, today I’m talking about the mean hero. Sometimes those heroes have been through so much, they’re hiding from the world and pushing back so hard they’re an ass. I know this happens.
Adam Jamenson is an ass.
He lost his mate, half his soul—literally—and his unborn child in an attack from a rival Pack and now he’s trying to live his life alone. He’s spent twenty years—a short time for a werewolf—living that way.
But now Fate is back and has given him a new mate, Bay.
Adam doesn’t take her in his arms immediately. *snort* Yeah, not at all. This isn’t a love at first sight story. This is a man who’s hurting so much that he can’t see right in front of him. He’s mean.
I hated him some of the time I wrote him. But honestly, I don’t think I’d have acted any better in his shoes which scares me.
Yes, Adam will get his happy ending.
But most importantly, so will Bay. Because Adam needs his butt kicked. And oh how I do that to him. He’s going to have to tear through those walls of his and find the wolf he could have been if he hadn’t been in pain.
This book tore at me so much that I’m even writing a second story, a novella called Forgiveness about Bay and Adam so that they can actually be happy.
Because they both deserve it. But yes, Adam is a mean hero. He has a lot of crawling on his knees to do, but Bay’s worth it.
What about you? Do you like mean heroes? I’m only a fan of them sometimes. I need my nice heroes too.

Adam Jamenson has suffered through the worst loss known to man. The only reason he lives day-to-day is to ensure the safety of his Pack. As the Enforcer of the Redwood Pack, it is his job to protect all in his path, though he was unable to protect the ones he held dear. The war with the Centrals is heating up and Adam must try and grit through it in order to survive. Though the broken man inside of him may not want to…
Bay Milton is a werewolf with a past. And a secret. She’s met the Redwood’s Enforcer only once, but it left a lasting effect. Now she needs to find him or everything he had thought he lost, may be lost again.
Together, they must struggle and find a way to fight their pasts and present in order to protect their future. But the Centrals have a plan that might make their path one of loss and destruction.

Excerpt:

She murmured a good night, and he walked out, leaving her with her passed-out mate and the sudden urge to take care of him.
“He needs us,” her wolf whimpered.
“Shush, you,” she whispered back. “He’s a grown man who doesn’t need us staring at him like a freaking stalker while he’s sleeping.”
Adam groaned from the bed and tried to take his shirt off, struggling in his current state. She caught a glimpse of tanned flesh and wanted to groan right with him. Damn, she was pregnant and ready to pop. She shouldn’t be thinking dirty thoughts.
Especially not with the man currently trying to strip out of his clothes.
With a sigh, she waddled over to him and placed a hand on his arm, the heat radiating from him shocking her. She’d forgotten how hot his skin was.
“Adam, stop trying to take off your clothes. You’re going to hurt yourself.” Need filled her and she cursed. Her libido was picking a strange time to wake back up.
“Bay,” he grumbled, and she froze.
She loved the sound of her name on his lips. Or rather, her wolf did. The woman desperately wanted not to like it. Damn mating bond.

Blog Tour: "Charmed Spirits" by Carrie Ann Ryan

Today we have Carrie Ann Ryan with us on the blog talking about her newest release and series Charmed Spirits, the first in her new Holiday, Montana series.

Introducing the Cooper Brothers

I love starting a new series and finding a new family to love—particularly when that family includes five hunky, independent, swoon-worthy men. Uh huh, I’m talking about the Cooper brothers. You’ll meet each of these boys—no, men—in my Holiday, Montana series.
What is my Holiday, Montana series you ask? Well, in the small Montana town of Holiday, the myths of our holiday memories aren’t that of fiction. Yep, make believe is real and the Cooper brothers are right in the middle. Throughout the series, you’ll meet witches, elves, cupids, leprechauns, and well…a bit more. You’ll just have to read and see.
But what I really want to do here is let y’all know about the Cooper brothers. These handsome men are as tight a crew as any brethren and only have themselves to depend on. I thought I’d introduce you to them now and you can meet them more in their own books in the Holiday, Montana series.
Matt Cooper is the hero of Charmed Spirits and is the youngest of them all at thirty. He owns the hardware store in town and as a teenager was in love with Jordan Cross—the town witch and outcast. He’s loved her all this time, yet he thought he’d long lost that. He’s a laid back guy, always there for those who need him. Some may even call him a Beta, but only where it counts. Because believe me, and Jordan, he’s Alpha when it’s needed. He also has a secret or two, but I’m not telling.
Justin Cooper is school principal and ex-bad boy of the Cooper clan. He’s always been the one that did what he wanted, when he wanted. But after an accident as a teen, he changed gears a bit and now cares more about others than himself. He may just need to meet someone else to help him realize that he’s more than just the ex-bad boy and has something more to give than just his time.
Tyler Cooper is the town sheriff and ladies’ man. He may be the love ‘em and leave ‘em type, but he’s up front about it. He’s not callous in his attentions, but the ladies that may fall for him knew the score to begin with. Though there may be a woman in town that could change all that, he’s sworn to protect the town rather than his heart.
Brayden Cooper is the town mechanic and the quiet one of the family. Though he’ll laugh and joke with his brothers, no one really knows quite who he is. He is, however, the man who will always be there for anyone. Especially a certain single-mother who is in desperate need of help.
Jackson Cooper is the town dentist and has the worst temper of the bunch. No one really knows why he’s so angry, but there has to be a reason. Plus, even though the evidence is mounting in the town that magic exists, it still seems like nonsense to him. Magic can’t exist in his opinion, because if it did….things would have been different.
Well, those are my Cooper men. What do y’all think? I hope you guys get a chance to meet these men in their own books. Each book will be coming out for each holiday from now until June. So not only will the magic happen, you’ll get to meet the Coopers quickly. I hope you guys get a chance to enjoy the first book, Charmed Spirits, as well. Thank you so much!!

Charmed Spirits
Holiday, Montana Book 1

Jordan Cross has returned to Holiday, Montana after eleven long years to clear out her late aunt’s house, put it on the market, and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Soon, she finds herself facing the town that turned its back on her because she was different. Because being labeled a witch in a small town didn’t earn her many friends...especially when it wasn't a lie.

Matt Cooper has lived in Holiday his whole life. He's perfectly content being a bachelor alongside his four single brothers in a very small town. After all, the only woman he'd ever loved ran out on him without a goodbye. But now Jordan’s back and just as bewitching as ever. Can they rekindle their romance with a town set against them?

Warning: Contains an intelligent, sexy witch with an attitude and drop-dead gorgeous man who likes to work with his hands, holds a secret that might scare someone, and really, really, likes table tops for certain activities. Enough said.

Excerpt:
“Have you seen the house yet?” Matt asked, his brows furrowed.
She shook her head and took her Coke and gum back with a small smile to Mr. Clancy. “Not yet. I was on my way over there. I just wanted to stop by for a drink.” She squared her shoulders and started toward the exit.
“You might find more than you bargained for if you want to get out quick.”
Jordan stopped and pivoted toward him. “Why? It should only take a few days to clean it out then slap on some paint, right?”
Matt shook his head and put his thumbs in his belt loops—too sexy. “Your grandmother got real sick at the end, and none of us knew.” Sadness washed over his face, and Jordan held back any similar feelings. “It may take more than you anticipated to get it ready.”
She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, counting to ten. “Then I’ll just have to deal with it, won’t I? I’m here for the duration in any case.” After all, she’d quit her PR job, a job that she hated, so she could find herself. God, how pathetic did that sound?
“Well, if you need anything, I’m here. And I bet my brothers would help out in a second.”
Jordan nodded, a smile forming. Damn those helpful, sexy Cooper brothers. “Thanks, if I need anything, I’ll holler. But I hope to do most of it on my own.”
