Swag Giveaway
Another SWAG giveaway for our followers.
I am moving mid-month next month so I'm trying to get rid of the swag before it gets packed into boxes to move to Florida. I do not want any of this swag going missing...due to my husband and his crazy way of packing. He has already threatened to pack my books first. (If he touches any of my books...he will be in serious trouble) I am the only one who can touch my books.
So...here's a Swag pack full of some signed swag and lots of swag from various authors.
Picture below was taken with my iPhone (sorry for the poor quality...I was rushing to take a picture before my toddler decided to run off with any of the swag. She loves to run off with the bookmarks and hide them)
I will pick TWO winners and this is an International Giveaway this time. =)

Interview and Series Spotlight with Jocelyn Dex (Giveaway)
Welcome to Book Lovin’ Mamas! We are so excited to have you
here today!
I’m so excited to be here!
1. Can you tell us one interesting or random thing about
yourself that we can't find on the internet?
Hmm… I almost picked up a snake once. Not someone’s pet
snake - a wild snake, possibly venomous. I was picking up dog toys in the back
yard and didn’t have my glasses on. I reached down to pick up another toy and
at the last second realized it was a snake. I screamed like a little girl and
ran inside. Eeek!
2. What is your favorite type of character to write? Least
favorite?
In Araya’s Addiction, I enjoyed writing all of the
characters but especially Araya’s sister Valia. She was big fun. A lot of
times, secondary characters are easier to write because you don’t really have
to worry about whether or not readers like them. Secondary characters can break
all the rules and do whatever they want. That’s fun. So far, I don’t have a
least favorite type to write but I’ll let you know if that changes.
3. When you are deep into writing what is your biggest pet
peeve?
Anything that interrupts me when I’m deep into writing is a
pet peeve. Text messages, having to pee, etc. :-)
4. Who are some of your favorite authors? Favorite books?
In paranormal romance, some of my favorites are Gena
Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series, Larissa Ione’s Demonica series, JR
Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series. One of my favorite romance books of all
time is a futuristic, sci-fi romance by Johanna Lindsey called Warrior’s Woman.
I think it was published in the early 90’s (an oldie but a goodie). I used to
always read her historical romances and was hesitant to read Warrior’s Woman
but am glad I did. I started looking for more books like that right away.
5. When you’re not writing, what are your hobbies/interests?
I read a lot. Play with my dogs. My husband and I have been
working on getting into better shape (again) so we’ve been hitting the gym. My
favorite thing to do is vacation on tropical islands but that’s not something I
get to do very often. Sigh.
6. What can we expect
from you in the future?
I just finished the second story in the Sempire world,
Valia’s Villain (working title). I will have submitted it to my editor before
this interview posts. So, everyone please wish me luck. I’m super excited and
hope readers will enjoy it!
Fun quick questions:
11. Coffee or Hot
Tea? Hot Green Tea or Chai Latte
12. Beach or
Mountains? Beach!
13. Sunrise or
Sunset? Sunset
14. Summer or Winter?
Summer
15. Country Music or
Rock N' Roll? Rock
Thank you so much for being here today and we hope you will
come back again very soon!
Thank you so much for having me! I hope you’ll have me back
when Valia’s Villain releases!
The Book
Title: Araya’s Addiction Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Author: Jocelyn Dex Cover Artist: Syneca Featherstone
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance ISBN: 9781419943959
Length: 30,500 words ASIN: B00AZZDKG6
Araya’s Addiction Blurb
When Kean wakes up naked, collared and locked in a cell, he knows thinking with his dick has finally gotten him into trouble. Part Incubus, Kean enjoys scorching sexual liaisons, a habit that has found him trapped, forced to help a Sempire rescue her daughter from certain death.
Unwilling to aid in anyone’s imprisonment, Araya initially refuses her mother’s “gift”, but the passion simmering between her and Kean is undeniable. As they explore their shared lust, both Araya and Kean enact schemes to save each other. Their best laid plans may awaken emotions that will bind them forever.
*Note: A Sempire is a female demon who requires semen to survive.
Araya
reached the door and the sight that met her eyes almost floored her. Through
the fog of the glass shower door, she watched Kean’s muscled form beneath the
flow of water, his head bent forward, one hand pressed against the shower wall
in front of him. The other hand gripped his shaft. He pumped it with long, slow
strokes from base to tip, sometimes lingering at the head.
His
eyes opened as if he sensed her presence, and he inclined his head toward her.
She wanted to close the door, but the alluring scene held her captive, her feet
frozen in place. He stopped stroking himself just long enough to slide open the
shower door, giving her a completely unobstructed view of the water running
down his muscled body, running off the thick head of his erection.
Not
only did her mouth water, her pussy ached and flooded with desire.
He
resumed the stroking, faster this time, sometimes breaking the motion to slide
his fingers over his balls. She saw the muscles in his arm tense as he squeezed
and stroked harder, faster.
His
strained voice startled her out of her daze. “If you want it, hurry.”

Mina Khan's A Tale of Two Djinns 1 Year Anniversary Blog Tour
1
1. Tell us 5 things about yourself that readers may not be
able find out about you on the web.
Mina:
I dress up & perform renaissance dances in public.
I love word games, especially against the DH
I dabble in visual arts to relax
I love saris, but hesitate to wear them because once one
came apart on me at a wedding.
I spent a large chunk of my childhood on a ship traveling
the seas.
2. What does a
typical writing day look for you?
Mina: Lol. I wake up around 5:30 a.m. & my DH is sweet enough
to deliver coffee at the computer. Then I work on writing and writing related
issues until it’s time to pick up the kids. Try to sneak in some more computer
time during homework. The evenings are
for family or community.
3. Could you give us a little sneak peek of how
your research process happens with a new book or series?
Mina: Usually, a new story starts with an idea or image that
gets stuck in my head. I’ll do quick internet searches and keep a file with
notes. I’ll plan a library trip around the topic and get some reading material.
Being a journalist by trade, I often interview experts on the topic or field.
4. When you’re not
writing, what are your hobbies/interests?
Mina: Dancing, cooking, reading, traveling, movies, art
projects, knitting.
5. Who are some of your favorite authors?
Mina: Marjorie M. Liu, Laurell K. Hamilton,
Patricia Briggs, Lois McMaster Bujold, Carol Berg.
6. When you are deep
into writing what is your biggest pet peeve?
Mina: Interrupting the writing for daily chores and life. I
know, not very reasonable…but it is what it is.
7. Do you ever base your characters on people you
know in real life?
Mina: Sometimes a real life person might inspire me, usually
some interesting physical aspect. For example, my heroes are almost always
inspired by drool-worthy actors. :D
8. Who is your
favorite character in the series so far?
Mina: Um, I like all my characters…for different reasons. Rukh because he’s
just so sexy. Shay because he’s so honorable. Sarah because she’s a journalist
and thinks like one. Maya because she can kick ass. I even like my villains
because they make the books fun.
9. If you could be
any one of your characters, from any book you’ve written, which one would you
be and why?
Mina: I’d be Maya because she can wield both djinn and human
magic.
10. Do you have
anything specific you want to say to your readers, maybe about what’s coming in
the future from you or anything else?
Mina: I should have a new djinn story by late spring: The
Djinn in the Mirror. What if Cinderella ended up with a wicked sexy djinn
instead of a fairy godmother and Prince Charming?

updates and inside information on the stories, please check out:
Fun quick questions:
11. Coffee or Hot Tea
– coffee with caramel flavoring!
12. Beach or
Mountains – both.
13. Sunrise or Sunset
-- Sunset
14. Summer or Winter
– Winter (because we get triple digit temperatures in summer!)
15. Country Music or Rock N' Roll – Rock N’ Roll!
A TALE OF
TWO DJINN
by Mina
Khan
Akshay, warrior prince of the earth djinns, earns the title
of Crown Prince at a high cost when he loses his best friend in a battle
against ancient enemies, the water djinns. Heartsick, he escapes to Earth to
mourn and lose himself in drink
Nothing gets the biological clock ticking (and elders lecturing) like almost dying in battle, so Maya, princess of the water djinns, travels to Earth for some no-strings-attached sex to fulfill her duty and produce an heir. But the beautiful and tough warrior gets more than she bargained for when she meets Shay.
Their not-so-simple one-night stand is interrupted by assassins and the world, as they know it, is changed forever. As Maya and Shay pull together to survive, both are determined to have their happily-ever-after and bring peace to their worlds — warring families, shadow assassins, and nosy busybodies be damned.

Mina Khan is a Texas-based writer and food enthusiast. She grew up in Bangladesh on stories of djinns (pronounced "gins"), ghosts and monsters. These childhood fancies now color her fiction. She daydreams of hunky paranormal heroes, magic, mayhem and mischief and writes them down as tales of romance and adventure.
Her first published work, The Djinn's Dilemma, won the novella category of the 2012 Romance Through The Ages (published) contest.
Mina Khan
started writing at an early age and in the third grade published a
thought-provoking poem:

the Temple of Pong
There is a gong
There is a gong
That
rings
in the middle of the night
Is it right
for it to ring in the middle of the night?
Hard as it is to believe, she went on to win a few awards for her poetry and then decided to tackle serious writing – short stories, screen plays and books. After concerns expressed by her parents about her livelihood, Mina pursued a career in journalism – print and television.

Surprise Swag Giveaway
Since we reached 500 followers on our GFC, we thought it would be a great idea to have a Surprise Swag Giveaway for our Amazing Followers.
Both Anna and I love Christmas time. It is a time to gather with family and friends, open presents, and eat some amazing food...as well as share stories with each other on previous Holiday moments together.
FranJessca
My favorite part of the Holidays is watching my oldest daughter, Alexia rip open her presents during Christmas morning and watch her face since she always has the best facial expressions. ( Thank goodness for the camera since I can capture it all )This will be the first Christmas my youngest, Devine, will be able to open her gifts since she's at the age when she can rip them open herself and I'm prepared ahead of time for her to like the wrapping paper, bows, and boxes more than her toys since she is only 13 months old.
I know Christmas has been better since the moment I became a parent myself and now I know why my Mom and Dad were excited to watch me open presents on Christmas morning.
It is also the time of year where I receive homemade gifts from my oldest daughter which are always the best gifts. She puts a lot of heart into making her gifts, wrapping them up, and putting them underneath the tree. Those gifts always make my heart melt.
Anna
My favorite part of the Holidays is just being with family and getting to see those who you rarely get to see. I love staying up late with cousins and aunts talking about old times. And the food, oh man, the food is always yummy. Each different family Christmas has a different kind of food. This year my Grandma's Christmas will be Mexican food, the Christmas lunch at my house will be seafood in honor of my dad, and the food at my moms will be soup and salads. So we get a little of everything! :) This year Christmas is bitter sweet for me. One one hand both of my kids are at the age where Christmas is really fun. My daughter is 6 and my son is 3, so I expect Christmas morning this year to be a little extra crazy. And on the other hand, I just lost my dad in October, so this will be our first Christmas without him. I just have to remember my time with him and focus on spending time with my husband and kids.
Since we reached 500 followers we are giving away 3 Surprise Swag Packs. =)
It is our gift to our followers.
You get a chance to win a bookmark from our blog and also Swag from Various Authors.
Winners will be announced on 12/31. =)
To Enter just fill out the Rafflecopter below.
